Will it come a day when the phones hardware updates instead of the software? It sure seems like it because it hasn't even been a few months since the s7 released and already people have specs for the s8. How can something so new become absolute in a matter of months? And will the price you stay as high as it already is for one of these devices?
Is a time where we have personal computers in our pocket finally getting here? Can we do things on these devices that need the power once held by big bulky machines with a lot of cables? I hope so because I'm tired of carying my laptop around. There are times where I need it and I just have my phone but it can't do the tasks I need it to do. This would be like editing video, playing hardcore video games, or making music. Still we have had the idea for way to long. Why is it just happening now? Is the technology really that expensive in the past or have we been held back on?
Why do we keep changing the size of phones in today's world? We started with brick sized cellphones, then cellphones that can fit in a closed fist, then tablet sized smartphones, and now we are going back. Why not just invest in a phone where you can change the size of the screen or project on something bigger if need. Why do we need the newest gadget? Not to point anyone out when I would be the first to get the newest iPhone every time one releases. But why do we have that need? Is it a competition or do we really need these new phones to work better. I feel that as long as the phone meets the requirements of the time and I'm not at a disadvantage I am content. If that's means buying every year a new smartphone just to keep up that is fine by me. I also feel like society makes u feel bad if ur are not up to date. Like even I will look at someone if they have a phone that is more than 3 years old and say that is weird. But why do we everyday people do this is why I thought this was so interesting that we change so much but sometimes we just go back instead of forwards.
When will we be able to touch air instead of glass or touch glass but not the one on a phone but on a bathroom wall. They idea has been there for years but it's still not being seen in real life as a tangible object. I want to be able to control my world from a device I can hold in my hand or strap to my body.
It's kind of cool going from Velcro shoes as a child to something that you slip on and ties itself in an instant. When I first heard of the concept the shoes chosen were Nike air mags that looked like alien shoes. Now this you can wear everyday and still have the feeling of a kid with how they light up like your og pair from preschool. Still how much innovation was put into these we will not know until they are tested by the public and not just people at Nike and their athletes. I hope to get a pair as soon as they are widely available for a fair price.
After watching movies like the original Tron and The Matrix I start to think about our use of media today online. Are we mostly programmed to just see what is on there and put the occasional post or can we change things? I start to think am I really making an impact on these channels or am I just putting something up so people can see I’m there watching everything. Can I push someone in the way they have moved me online or am I just watching for my own needs? People like Neo and Flynn just get put into these situations and adjust but no one is going to put me in a position like that in the real world where important things are on the line. Is it realistic that you can just be put in the middle of the action in life? I don’t think so because it has never happened to me. If I wanted to be a part of something I’ve had to go for it. By this I mean talk to people, make my own action, or constantly look. This action can be something like taking part in an event at school, going out with friends, or finding a job. Still I think it is cool that the less likely guy in a movie can be the hero of the story. I have never been a leader from the beginning but I like to think I want to become someone that takes action and causes change. To me it can be as big as getting a group of kids to a basketball court to have enough people to play a full court game or something as small as getting someone to stop to look at a poster for an event I wanted to promote at school. In a way I relate to these characters in how even when they think they aren’t the one that will change everything they still go along with the situation. I also like to think there are people with online persona that change the online experience on these channels that have rules and barriers on them. They don’t let these rules and barriers stop them from being themselves. From what I’ve seen it seem that like in both films and the online world I saw growing up there were no barriers in the beginning of the these online channels. Slowly people began to put these walls but people that were persistent enough to find a way to get around them. Some have even made their own platforms because one didn’t have something they needed to share with the world they were put in. I just see so much potential in this if I like these characters can mold the channels and not let these channels mold me in the process. I also hope more technology can come out that let’s us interact deeper and closer with this online world. Things like virtual reality and an online persona sound really interesting to be part of versus someone who just looks from the outside.

To think I only have to worry about one store imagine having to deal with 200-400 of them. How would you know what is a legit app, some scam on their store, or something that could damage my device. Still remember the first few years of the Apple Store having problems but we are at a time where this shouldn’t be happening.

I could not wait to eat, get a toy, and play on their playground which was huge to me at the time. Back when a toy felt like a real toy and not a cheap knock off. Also when I could get full before finishing my entire kids meal.

Some people hate that the app is there if you want it or not, but I enjoy the idea that a product brings everything it can need and more. Something Microsoft had been ignoring for years in my eyes. Like I don't want unexpected charges or need for purchase coming from a product that is supposed to help me.
Apple for the first time is accepting banged up iPhones as a trade-in from those wanting to upgrade.
It seems Apple is finally catching on to people fixing broken phones themselves for a lower price. Now you can trade in broken phones to Apple. The catch is they are totally ripping you off with the credit they give you for damaged phones.
No matter how you cut it, Apple is ripping you off lol - because they can. But I am happy that they are now doing this, it is smart and they’ll probably gain more loyalty from customers considering switching to Android.
I've saved money doing this even with their MacBooks I wonder if they would start doing something like a phone plan with MacBooks. This would make it easier for people to stay up to date in the MacBook section of their market.

over the years, technology has changed drastically. when I was younger, I didn’t have an iPad at dinner to play with if I was getting antsy, I didn’t have a nice iPhone at 13, I didn’t get to watch tv whenever I wanted. as the years go on, the kids in the newer generation have been adapting to this technology filled life. they’re growing up with iPads and iPhones, and being told it’s okay. in my opinion, I hate the fact that so many children in this day and age have access to this technology (for recreational purposes, not school). I’m sure once I become a parent my opinion will change, but I see my little brother who is only 6, NEEDING the iPad all the time, NEEDING to watch tv. it’s ridiculous to me and I hate seeing kids in restaurants with iPads. I understand if it’s a big dinner with a lot of people, but it blows my mind that when I was younger - I learned to color and engage with my family. now kids are just resulting to technology. again, I’m sure my opinion will change as I have kids but as of now, it’s just so crazy how much technology is used compared to when I was younger.
I wonder if we will get some technology our generation doesn't understand like some of the older generations don't understand some of out technology.
Vannevar’s Memex vs. Amber’s iPhone 5S
Amber’s iPhone 5S can store all her books and download even the newest releases within seconds, but even her iPhone can hold only 3GB of books (which is only the first four books of the Harry Potter series). She shows off to old fashioned Vannevar, emphasizing how she can swipe her finger across the screen to flip the page. Vannevar Bush explains that the Memex is capable of storing not only the seven Harry Potter books, but also dozens of encyclopedias. Vannevar’s Memex may not fit in his pocket, but it sure can find anything he is looking for, unlike Amber’s little miraculous device.
What about the cloud? You can reach a good amount of the information online just through your iPhone. Also I think you can download more than just 3 Harry Potter books.
To think you don’t need a gym to stay in shape is crazy to me. Even thought I have tried being a college student with low financial means and trying to make the best with what I have. Does the idea of a detachable cabin on an aircraft put your mind at ease? One inventor has designed just that. But will the concept take off?
This idea is definitely innovative. Venturing into the realm of science fiction, i think this idea is definitely feasible and is something i would feel comfortable riding in. Of course while plane accidents are statistically rare occurrences having this technology gives the passenger extra peace of mind. In the end the implication of this technology will depend on cost, efficiency and reliability.
I say no matter what the cost safety is always key in a buisness like this. This is a lot of lives on the line for 2-4 hour flights sometimes. Still I think people who travelled in boats for the first time had a lot of fears and problems like we did.
This, to me, is a great example of technology impacting society in a huge way. Technology has become such a large presence in public security, that it’s almost impossible to imagine not having video and cell phone surveillance at a large event. Of course, the Super Bowl is as big as any event in the U.S. (and in the world for that matter), but the point still stands. The threat of danger at an event with an unimaginable amount of people is also arguably larger in today’s society, which is why homeland and local security organizations utilize technology in order to have the maximum amount of knowledge about the ongoings around an event like the Super Bowl. The ethicacy of the way these technologies are utilized have been controversial at times, as they can infringe upon civil rights, but its difficult to argue that some of these methods (which essentially did not exist in the 1900s) are necessary to protect civilians at an event as large as this, and there is no arguing that technology has changed the game of surveillance and security.
Atleast it's not a helicopter with a machine gun out one of the doors like in a past super bowl.

In this ever-changing world everything is being designed to work faster. What if you could fly around the world in minutes? You could barely travel across cities in minutes a century ago. In the time it takes me to commute from my Norwalk, CT home to my Stamford, CT university, I could potentially fly all the way to Europe in the near(ish) future.
This right here is a game changer. I remember my first ever flying experience: a 20 hour flight from New York, New York to Beijing, China (18 hr. + 2 hr. stop in Vancouver). It was grueling, for most passengers; not for me though, as I was too excited to be flying for the first time to care.
There are a lot of things to consider here. The article says that this aircraft can host up to 10 passengers. So this obviously is not intended for the typical traveller. This means you should expect the ticket cost to be exponentially high - as if they aren’t already. I imagine this would be ideal for international business people, or Beyoncé for her next world tour. Regardless, this innovation would put a huge spin on technology and society. Some say this technology won’t be available in the foreseeable future, but the creator behind this Antipode disagrees and says "It’s all about innovation. Share your idea, and it opens up a door for other designers to build on it”
