Hi everyone!

So, I’ve been gone an awfully long time as I’ve been working on my PGCE course to become a primary school teacher. I have now passed that course and I am a fully fledged teacher!

I am hoping to tackle my replies this week but please bear with me as it’s been a while since I’ve been roleplaying properly and I’m not sure how my stamina will hold up. Please drop me a message if you would like to continue threads we had or if you want to restart anything/drop anything!

Blaine found that he was actually spending most of his shift watching Rachel walk through the tables rather than watching the show up on the stage. He was captivated by her, the way that she held herself, handled the customers. He tried not to show it, but he was definitely into her. Not really the smartest thing in the world when he’d just offered her a job. It probably wouldn’t go down well if he was to start hitting on her straight away. He smiled at her, sliding along the bar when she turned to look at him, nodding his head a little. “You’re obviously a natural at this,” he told her, “You seem to be a hit with the customers, I know it’s not the job you were hoping for, and it doesn’t compare to getting up on that stage, but if you want to make this a regular thing after tonight, then the job is yours,” 

Of course, if she accepted the job, then it would mean that Blaine would get to see her more often and get to know her better. Still not hitting on her, but it would give him time to figure out what he was going to do next. Turning around quickly, he picked up a bottle of tequila and two glasses, pouring them both a glass and sliding one across the bar to her. “I think you deserve this tonight, come on, you’re entitled to a break,”

Working the tables was just like acting, and if Rachel was anything, she was a star and would do anything if it meant performing these days. All she had to do was be the role of a flirty waitress and the customers seemed to be happy with it. “I’m a performer, so I guess it just makes sense that I like an audience, even if they are just interested in how good I look in my underwear...” She chuckled softly, setting the tray down as he poured them both a drink. “Really? You’d give me a job?” Her eyes went wide. Sure, it wasn’t what she wanted, but she’d be willing to do it. “I accept! I’d love to work here.”

She took the drink he offered her, holding it up and clinking glasses with him. She downed the drink and winced at the burning sensation running down her throat. “Oh wow. Okay.” She coughed a little, laughing. “I did not think that would be tequila. Wow.”

A Place In Time - William/Samantha

William lowered his wrist and smiled. “I usually land in the same coordinates as when I left. It’s rare when I go to another city or country. Not to say I haven’t wound up in Russia or Alabama. Eventually, I will like to gain control of where I travel and what time, but to have that type of precision is beyond my capabilities at the moment.” He thought of the date he gave her and said, “If you want to meet me in 2043 I imagine I’ll be around this area. I will look as I do tonight and carry whatever is on my person. Which has been beneficial to figure out. My first six jumps left me as naked as the day I was born. It made for awkward scramblings for clothing. 

He turned and took her hand, laying a kiss across the knuckles and breathing softly into the skin with his nose. It took some time before he lowered it and said, “Do you have access to your roof?”

“Wouldn’t that be something? To be able to decide when to visit.” Maybe part of her hoped that he would visit her if he had the choice. She knew they had a connection like no other but that didn’t make it easy when he disappeared again. “I’m sure you will figure it out. You figured the first idea of time travel out, so why not a more precise form? You’re incredibly intelligent. I wish I had the brains that you possess.” She gave him a cheerful smile, wanting to keep hold of his hand as long as possible. She craved this contact when he wasn’t nearby and 2043 was a long time. Had a previous him or a future him told him where they were going next? She’d have to look at her diary.

Samantha looked at their joined hands before tilting her head back up to him. “I do have access. Would you like to go up there? It has a very nice view of the city up there.”

Aaron caught the pillow and twirled it in his hands as he walked towards her. The floor boards creaked underneath his boots and he tossed the pillow back at her. “What makes you think I don’t have a heart?” A hand went to his chest and he laid it over his left pec. “If I want to be convincing with this whole asinine charade I would probably call you snookums or sweet cheeks,” he wouldn’t actually because people would see right through it. “I see you already favored ass when it comes to me. Like a match made in paradise.” He chuckled and stopped in front of her, keeping out of punching distance. “Gonna be serious for a second and say I would probably go with sweetheart. With my accent and dimples, I think anyone would melt a little if they heard me call you that.”

Laurel caught the pillow and held it against her chest with folded arms. “I don’t know, maybe all the jokes to make people feel like shit? That’s normally a good sign,” she pointed out, leaning back against the wall as he got closer to her. “Sweetheart? I can deal with that. I can see how that might melt certain people.” She’d ignore the fact that it might make her melt just a little too if he said it in a certain way. She was a female, after all, and not completely blind to the attraction Aaron could give. “I’ll come up with something good for you too, not just ass.”

Emily considered the question for a moment, surprised that it was something that he’d taken an interest in, although he could just be being polite, but that was more than okay with her. “I was on the school paper when I lived in Australia, and I loved it. Journalism was always something that I wanted to do, but it’s such a difficult industry to break into,” she explained with a little shrug of her shoulders, but her natural ability to write meant that she could usually turn her hand to anything, which was good. 

“Yeah, that’s basically what it is right now. I mean, I haven’t totally given up hope, but you know, a girl’s got to eat,” she said with a little chuckle, following Ianto into the bar and glancing up at the menu. She shook her head dismissively as she approached the bar, turning her head slightly to look at him, “Hey, a deal’s a deal.” she told him, “At least let me get you one, as a thank you,”

“Well, most industries claim to be difficult to break into, but if its your passion, you shouldn’t let something like difficulty hold you back. The job I’m in now? I spent weeks after weeks convincing my boss to give me the job. Trust me, if anyone knows anything about perseverance, it’s me.” How many days he had spent waiting with coffee on the bay, he hated to think about, but it had paid off in the end and that was all that really mattered. “I think you should give it a try.”

Ianto looked down at the menu but conceded to let her buy him a drink. She had offered and what sort of gentleman would he be to deny her? It would be impolite and Ianto was brought up with good manners. “I will agree for this one drink, but I insist I buy the next one.” He put in his order for a pint of cider from the barman before turning his attention back to Emily. “Do you plan to stay here for a long time, in this city?”

James chuckled as he felt her fumbling with his belt, and as much as he wanted rid of it, the slight delay gave him extra time to focus on her and giving her the attention that he was sure she deserved. She deserved to be worshipped, to be given a good time, to appreciate her. That was exactly what he was planning on doing with her tonight. He teeth nipped playfully at her lips as she moaned into his mouth, feeling a little pleased with himself that he’d been able to elicit such a reaction out of her already. God, she sounded amazing when she moaned, and he hoped that wouldn’t be the last time he heard that tonight.

He pulled away from her slightly, glancing down at her with a grin on his face, giving her a cheeky wink at her demanding tone. Yeah, that definitely worked for him. He placed his hands firmly on her waist, and lifting her up a little more, sliding her along the bed so that he could position himself comfortably between her legs. He kissed his way down along her body, the tip of his tongue teasing against the skin. His eyes flicked up to look at her again as his hands slid down along her sides, gripping a little at her thighs and spreading her legs a little more. His tongue flicked out to lick his lips, his breath catching in his throat as he shift between them, dipping his head and pressing a hot kiss against the inside of her thigh, sucking a tiny bruise into the flesh.

Part of Rebekah was glad that it wasn’t massively bright in here so he wouldn’t see the marks on her stomach. She had used all the oils so it was mostly gone but still, she didn’t need those questions right now. She knew that she was a pretty loud person in general too so hopefully he didn’t mind how vocal she was going to get. When she had had a few drinks inside of her, she was even worse, so he was in for a night of her very much letting him know she was enjoying herself.

Rebekah could certainly get used to being manhandled on a bed like this and she was pleading with herself that this wasn’t going to be a one-time thing. She definitely wanted to see him again and again as many times as he would allow her to. Her eyes stuck on him as he started to kiss and lick his way down her naked body. She threaded a hand into his hair, arching up against him as he sucked a bruise into her leg. Now wasn’t that even hotter? “Oh fuck, James.”

Wake Me Up - Tony/Stephanie

Tony frowned when the woman approached his bed, he didn’t recognise her at all, and all at once his senses were on overdrive trying to figure out what the hell was going on around here. Then she hit him with the first low blow and he felt like he’d had the wind knocked out of him. “What’re you talking about?” he found himself asking, trying to prop himself up a little more in his bed, “I know I’m known to enjoy a drink or two, and I’ve had my fair share of intense hangovers in the past. But entering me into rehab is a little extreme,” he told her, arching an eyebrow defiantly at her. Not that he intended on staying her much longer as he pulled the covers back and tried to swing his legs over the side, “So, thanks for your time and all, but I think I’ll be heading home now.” He paused, turning to look around the room, “Care to tell me where my things are?”

But then she continued, and Tony’s first reaction was to laugh at her. She couldn’t be from around here, right? He was Tony Stark, he was Iron Man! He’d saved the world more times than he could count, how could she think that was some sort of hallucination. “Yeah, I think you’ve got your wires crossed lady, I’m Iron Man, you’ve probably seen me on the news, in the magazines. I work with the Avengers, you know, star-spangled Captain America, Thor the God of Thunder, and The Hulk, you know, the big green guy, has a tendency for smashing things up? You can’t miss him,”

“Oh, no Mr Stark, it’s not that sort of rehab. We’re not a rehab for alcoholics or drug addicts. This is a very specialised rehabilitation centre.” Very specialised indeed, Iron Man, but you’ll never find that out. “We’re a rehabilitation for people that have suffered a... mental lapse, to put it gently. That’s the reason that you are here. You’re here because you have suffered a serious mental lapse and the people closest to you decided that you’d need the specialist treatment here before you hurt yourself or worse. This is for your safety.”

Stephanie pulled over her clipboard, writing on it. “Iron Man? I see... your superhero alter-ego with a... suit of metal and... that can make you fly?” Stephanie made sure her voice sounded as incredulous as possible. “I know that you are not the only person convinced that you are part of a team. Captain Rogers was certainly very certain that he was a superhero too. There is a group of you that call yourselves the Avengers, but this is not real. This is a fantasy and I hope that you will understand that. The names? They are usernames on an online blog that you created.” She put her clipboard down. “I know this is a lot to take in at once and I certainly don’t want to overwhelm you, but I can show you that these Avengers and Iron Man doesn’t exist.”

“Oh yeah?” Sebastian asked, lifting into his signature smirk, he doubted that Hunter could keep up this act for much longer, sure he liked to think that he was a cocky piece of shit, but Sebastian doubted it was true. Sebastian had something of a history with guys like that, and he’d always managed to break them down after a while, he doubted that Hunter would be any different. Most likely a straight guy with a ton of pent up frustration that he needed to get out. Same of story and definitely nothing that Sebastian hadn’t seen before. 

He nipped teasingly at Hunter’s neck while the other continued to tug on his tie like it was a freaking leash. His teeth grazed along the skin, before pulling back and letting his eyes burn into Hunter’s for a moment, allowing the two of them to catch their breath. Things had moved insanely quickly between them, considering a few minutes ago they were trading insults with each other, talking about how they really couldn’t stand the other, and look at them now. Yeah, not at all what Sebastian had been expecting, and certainly not how he imagined to be spending his afternoon with Hunter Clarington of all people. His breath was coming out in harsh little pants, before Hunter tugged him closer and their lips crashed together hungrily. He let out a low groan as his hands fumbled with Hunter’s shirt, practically ripping it open and pushing it over his shoulders, letting his hands finally roam freely over that obnoxiously firm body underneath.

“Oh yeah,” Hunter confirmed, not even an ounce of doubt running across his features. His beliefs and morals and dedication had never wavered. Except, now, but... Sebastian was a whole different kettle of fish. He didn’t fit into any box Hunter had for everything in his life. Sebastian was like a shape that wouldn’t fit into any peg box and maybe that was why he had found their conversations so abrasive, so electrically-charged. This was why they couldn’t get along and this explosion had happened. Sebastian didn’t fit in and wasn’t that just the most fantastic thing about him?

It felt nice to have a mouth on his neck and just that right amount of pain. He hated people who just attacked your neck like a vampire. Not attractive at all. He was barely able to catch his breath but that level of tension had turned into something else. Something a lot more calm but no less passionate. This wasn’t spur of the moment, now. This kissing, this making out, it was something else, and he was more than sure both of them felt that. That underlying rush of something different. He barely flinched at his shirt being pushed off, pulling Sebastian’s tie away from him once he had the knot undone that he had caused. He partially hoped that Sebastian hadn’t ripped his shirt as he pushed his own hands up the back of Sebastian’s shirt.

Kurt nodded along with what Hunter was saying, trying his best not to blush at the memory of a half naked self grinding on the man’s lap. “Oh? That sounds like fun” he offered, then bit his lip down a little when Hunter asked that to Annie. “Great too! I stayed over my Auntie Rachel’s place, because daddy had to work at the office, but then daddy took me to the park and we made tea and watched movies together. It was very fun!”

“It was a lot of fun. We had a bit too much to drink though which is not good,” Hunter told him, giving him a small smirk before he moved to talk back to Annie. “Oh, that sounds like a lot of fun! What movies did you watch? I’m more of a book person but I sure do like movies so maybe you can suggest some good ones.”

Rachel couldn’t resist letting out a little moan as Hunter started to stroke her ego, she knew it was entirely self centred, but she couldn’t help herself. She thrived on feeling appreciated, especially in a world where she’d always been known as the underdog, so having Hunter talk to her like that, compliment her in ways that she’d spent so long dreaming about, she couldn’t help getting a little carried away with herself. “Mhm, I think that’s a good start,” she quipped, the corner’s of her mouth twitching up into a cheeky grin as she caught Hunter’s lip in another kiss.

She gave him a coy grin, fingers curling at the back of his neck, quite enjoying the slight firm tone to his voice. “You’re really sexy when you get all commanding on me,” she teased, her words turning into a soft moan as she arched her neck as he sucked a hickey into her neck. She’d probably end up having to wear a scarf for a week after this, just so that she wouldn’t draw any unwanted attention to herself, even if it was the middle of Summer, but it would be so worth it.

Like music to his ears, her moans went straight to his nether regions. Nothing better in the world and Rachel was just like him; being told how good you are always put a fire in their egos. They had such big egos, they probably filled up a room with it all. “It’s the best start you’re ever going to get. No one appreciates your talent the way they should,” Hunter murmured against her mouth as she kissed him again. “Realistically, you should be the star at all times.”

“And I’m not sexy all the time? That’s rude,” Hunter teased, shifting his hand along her back to run under the clasp of her bra. He knew what he was doing when he made little marks on her, knowing she’d have to hide them for her team. One of the perks of high collars and ties was that you could hide most marks completely. “Now, I could make you wait more for that little comment or I could strip you completely...”

Felicity nodded, feeling a little smug that she’d found something so quickly, even if it wasn’t anything concrete, it was a start and now they had a lead, some sort of connection that she could follow up on. She typed a few little things into the system again, eyes lighting up when more in depth details appeared on the screen. Yeah, she was really good at this. “Okay, so it says here that he runs a popular electronic firm in the glades, but he also has something of a criminal record for importing and exporting stolen goods,” She ran her tongue along her bottom lip as she studied the information in front of her.

“Apparently he also has a history with the military, though not necessarily a good one. My search is flagging up a number of underground weapons deals, most of which were successful, but he did some jail time a few years back. He’s been pretty quiet since then, according to the FBI’s database anyway,” She sat up a little straighter, turning around in her seat and smiling back at Mycroft, feeling more a little pleased with herself. “Does that sound like something your brother may have taken an interest in?”

Electronic firm, and stolen goods. Whilst this didn’t immediately signal anything that Sherlock might be involved in, Mycroft often found that Sherlock involved himself in plenty of things as long as there was a challenge involved. But what challenge could send him this far across? And off the radar too? Not even on a Sherlock way either, which Mycroft had always been able to break. “Interesting. Some kind of smuggler then, who could in theory smuggle my brother across here...”

“Military, did you say?” Now that wasn’t a good sign. He had been noticing a pattern of weapons coming into the country recently but he wouldn’t have expected Sherlock to get involved with something like this, unless he was on to something... “It’s not his normal forte, but I have heard about a weapons deal across the pond that he may have got himself involved in...”

Blaine watched as walked through the tables, and he smiled after her for a moment, before turning back to finish cleaning the rest of the bar, before the punters started filing into the bar. The night started off pretty quiet, he noticed a couple of regulars making themselves comfortable, some of them flirting with Rachel, like they usually did with new blood, and he made a mental note to keep a close eye on them, just in case they got a little too handsy with her. Sure, they had security in the bar, but the dancers were the main priority, and he didn’t want some sleazy drunks spooking Rachel and scaring her off before she really had a chance to settle in.

But then the lights dimmed and a few of the star dancers took to the stage, the music playing loudly, and Blaine leaned against the bar, but found that his eyes weren’t focused on the dancers, but on his new waitress instead. Yeah, he was kind of screwed. Shaking his head, trying to centre himself he smiled at Rachel, and gave her a little wink, while everyone else focused on the dancers up on the stage, “So, how’re you finding your first night?”

Rachel found she was able to fit in with the customers pretty easily at first. She was able to pick up the glasses without spilling much on herself, though she was definitely going to smell like beer by the time she went back to her friend’s couch, though a bed would have been more enjoyable tonight. God, she wished she had a real bed to cuddle up into. None of the customers seemed to be groping her which was another good sign, though she had a few wolf-whistles when she walked past which she could deal with. Smile and ignore the comments. 

When the lights dimmed, Rachel’s eyes immediately went to the stage. She found herself almost captivated by the dance, wishing to be up on that stage with them. It was amazing. She moved back to the bar, handing the latest collection of glasses over. It took her a moment to realise that she was being spoken to, turning back to face Blaine. “It’s actually quite fun!”

Sebastian tilted his head. “It is? Why, are you from Westerville or something?” He shrugged. “Either way, cute little town. I’m sure it’s still the same as always” he said, chuckling, then he took another sip of his drink and looked at him with a small grin on his face. “Well, let’s just say that I know a little bit of everything, thanks to experience, so I can really, um… sink my teeth on anything I can lay my hands on. Business wise, of course.” He winked at him playfully, then nodded. “You do? That would be good. It’s been a while since the last time I’ve been in my hometown, and I’ve been wanting to invest here for a while now.”

“No but I know the place. It’s true that it never changes, though.” Maybe there was some magic in the place that he hadn’t discovered. Might be an idea to check maybe sometime. Hunter couldn’t help but smile at the comment. “I’m sure you could sink your teeth into anything if you tried.” He ran a hand through his hair, moving to get another drink. “I can get you involved with some helpful people for that.”

Centuries

Well, this had gone disastrously well. It was supposed to be a routine operation. Sweep near the Strip, make sure there weren’t any mutants or any other people threaten the Brotherhood’s way of life, pick up any technology for the good of the Brotherhood, all that boring stuff. When was the last time they got to do something actually worthwhile and helpful? Plus, sometimes if you were in those power suits for too long, you could barely walk when you got out. They were heavy to drag around. 

This day, John wasn’t in a power suit and no heavy armour. It was supposed to be routine, but it didn’t turn out to be so. He got jumped by a bunch of raiders near to the Strip, beaten and almost completely stripped of all of his technology and guns. He didn’t know how he had managed to get away with his life but he found himself stumbling towards a Fort in Freeside. He called out for help at the gate before his vision swam and he dropped to his knees. He couldn’t see and the warm blood running down his cheek was not helping.

“Dead? I think it’ll be a fucking miracle if it can be resurrected. But you think you got what it takes to breathe life back into this disappointing pile of scrap metal. Then you have at it.” Jaelyn hurt everywhere and she wanted her bed. Which was countless light years away. The suit was well equipped, which was one good thing going for them. “There should be extra air tanks if they weren’t destroyed during the crash.” That should be a priority but Jaelyn needed to try to return power to this ship first. “What’s the status of the crew.” They are more than likely as dead as the ship.

“Yeah, it might be a miracle but we’ve got to hope, haven’t we? Optimism...” Heather Lee wasn’t sure that she would be able to fix any of this but it certainly wouldn’t hurt to try. They might be able to at least salvage some things if they did. Heather Lee looked around the area she was in, moving over to the large crates to peer in. Oxygen canisters. All accounted for, thankfully. “We’ve got oxygen. Enough to last us for a few weeks at least.” She moved back to the one terminal that seemed to be working, albeit terribly. “No life signs...”
