I'm so (not) sorry for this one😳🤭✨
• You turn me on like a light switch • (I cannot take this song out of my head and that's the result)
Do not think bad.
(Not too much) 🫢
notes: Now just imagine that immediately after that Crowley says something like "Keep that stupid bowtie of yours." (only the bowtie) I WON'T SLEEP TONIGHT
Good Omens tattoo flash sheet!
Designs inspired by the Ineffable Husbands duality, including my take on the iconic good omens tattoo: the flaming sword + snake! and a couple of hands of god, playing her ineffable game with the universe.
If you are interested in getting one tattooed, by all means, do it! (and consider making a donation to my Ko-fi)
Now that RTD is gone I think Ncuti should get a do over season
for no reason whatsoever here’s a reminder that if you consider yourself a leftist/punk/abolitionist/anarchist/radical in any sort of way and get called into jury duty, you are to become the most square person on earth during the jury questionnaire!!!
don’t be that guy who says fuck the police in the jury questionnaire! that just gets you sent home! if you want to generate change, interact with the case and use your jury vote for good! ESPECIALLY if it’s a high profile case!
Remember, when you're on the jury, a good "that cop's story didn't add up" will sway a lot more Chads and Karens than "fuck the police."
Had jury duty, can confirm!
An innocent man is home with his family instead of spending his kids' whole childhoods in jail for "resisting arrest" when none of the cops could agree on why he was being arrested in the first place. (But it definitely had nothing to do with him being a Black man in a nice car, honest! 🙄)
And it still took like two hours of delibration after we'd heard all the evidence because one lady was so gung ho about believing everything the cops said, even when not a single goddamn one could agree with their own testimony, let alone their colleagues'.
Pointing out all the inconsistencies and admitted misconduct and letting people slowly come to their own conclusions as the trial played out was fucking hard, I won't lie. I can be patient, but it doesn't come naturally to me.
But. Yelling about how this was obviously a bs case would have shut everyone down and made them stop listening. Asking questions and letting people discuss how the cops tried to make xyz sound suspicious but it was totally normal, or about how if things played out the way the cops said then logically events should have proceeded in a totally different direction, and positing different theories that actually lined up with the evidence presented?
That got people thinking, and everyone realized that for a variety of reasons we all had reasonable doubts that the defendent had committed any of the crimes of which he was accused.
Being able to raise reasonable doubt among a jury of one's peers saves lives. If you get the chance, take it.
"Jury Room / The Holdout" (1959) by Norman Rockwell. One of my favorites of his. Particularly the gendered dynamic he depicts here.

Happy Pride Month! Friendly reminder that you don’t need a perfectly defined box, a specific label, or a public announcement to belong here. Rainbows are a spectrum for a reason. To everyone celebrating out loud, in secret, or somewhere safely in between: I see you, I’m with you too, and I’m proud of you. you are valid, you are seen, and you matter. I’m so incredibly grateful to be part of a community that has room for all of us. 🌈❤️
I am here for the Rivals lesbian storylines and I need them now
Knowing I shouldn’t but doing it anyways, relaxing in the cool weather by my pool and imagining all of the beautiful women who will be spending time here in a couple of weeks as my friends start to spend their time at the pool

I’ve decided to listen to the audio book of Rivals narrated by Georgia Tennant and I’m genuinely astonished. Maybe it’s because I have the characters so vividly in my head, but the voices sound just like everyone in the show and the adaptation is very good. But also feel like I’m learning a little more about the characters which is nice.
if you're not keeping track: NG was roundly rejected by fans, many of us queer, once it became apparent that he was a vicious scrap of excrement.
for years, he harped on about how Good Omens fans were the best fans; he recognized and acknowledged the import these characters have for us. and refusing to release his stranglehold upon S3, he ensures that:
• Mutt dies of an apparent overdose, leaving his beloved spouse widowed
• Maggie and Nina are pushed out of Whickber Street, location unknown, never to be mentioned again
• Crowley and Aziraphale never meaningfully reconcile; their relationship is dictated to and mediated by a cruel God, to the point of obliteration
we recognized NG for what he is, however much it hurt, because ultimately we believe that justice and humanity and truth count for something. we believe in making things right, not in some distant universe, but here, now: on earth as it is in heaven, as the son of a carpenter once said.
this is what makes me ask: is S3 about resolving the story, or a grudge? and when you cut away Michael and David's game performances, it's pretty glaringly obvious that this thing was authored in malice.
what to do? for my part, I reject works of illegitimate authorship; may his only lasting byline be in granite, one headstone among many in the cities of the dead.
Not only did Mutt die for absolutely no reason, his (still unnamed!) spouse apparently spent years worrying it had been a suicide.
And let's not forget about Muriel, the nonbinary breakout character of season 2 who was poised to grow and learn about humanity and instead died assuring us that they had always just been an idiot.
Yeah. There's a lot of aspects of GO3 that are particularly cruel to the queer characters. And I think it's entirely fair to wonder if that cruelty was added on purpose.
