The ride, albeit short, was incredibly enjoyable for Robin and a relaxing change to their last few minutes at the store. When they reached the cafe, he hurried out the car and over towards the other side to open the door for KC.

KC smiled and got out of the car! “Thanks .” she smile even more “Lets party like boss and collueges always do.” she teased them

Robin backed out of the spot, a smile curled on his lips as the song began to play. his fingers tapped against the steering wheel and he nodded along to the beat. Like many other people with a radio, he’d heard the song every once in a while.

KC jammed with the song and laughed as she had fun in the car. “It’s so awesome we jam on the same songs, i have the best friend and boss ever.” she chuckled as she looked at him

Robin pulled out his keys, flashing them to KC with a smirk on his face. “Then we’ll just have to drive there.” He motioned for her to follow, crossing the lot to his old Mercury. He unlocked the doors for the both of them, letting KC go in before he did. “You can pick the music if you want.”

“It’s much faster anyways.” she teased him with a laugh and wink. as he opened the doors of his car she stepped inside and closed her door, and applied her seatbelt. “I’ll just see what kind of music will hit us when i click here.” she chuckled asoldie ‘shut up and dance with me’ started to play. “This mah jam.” she laughed

He couldn’t just let her walk, at least not on her own. Sure, she could probably take care of herself is someone tried to get on her bad side, but he still felt guilt plunge into him as the thought of him being the only one safe in a car. “Well,” he huffed, a lazy smile pulled at the corner of his lips. “We have two options here: either I walk with you, or you can let me drive you.”

“Both options are amazing ! we can take your car otherwise you have to walk back this whole road and i can’t do that to you now you are so tired after hard work! she smiled she cared about her friend

Robin couldn’t help but chuckle at KC’s words. Once the alarm was turned on, Robin locked the door and waited for the loud ringing that signaled that the two could leave. “Did you drive here?” He asked, wondering if they would go to the cafe separately or if he needed to drive her there and to her place as well– not that he minded, he just liked knowing.

“I walked today since it was a super nice day outside! “I can walk to the cafe unless you need my company that you want me to drive with you.” she nudged his shoulder playfully “Either way you’ll see me .” she laughed

“Yeah, well, I’m sure you wouldn’t like it if I left something like that away from you,” she answered easily. She found herself fidgeting with her bag, shifting it on her slim shoulder, her fingers wrapped tightly around it’s straps.

“How can i make it up to you .” he grabbed both her hands into his hands and squeezed them softly as he looked into her eyes. “you just have to call it and i will do it, even when it sounds weird.”

Kenna quirked a brow at the mention of being sick. She hadn’t expected that; why didn’t he say anything? Did she not want to worry her? Then again, she shouldn’t be too upset over the lack of information: he was fine and that was that. Still, she stood up straight and took a deep breath. “I’m glad to hear that, I’m sure you missed the gym?”

: I did miss the gym and sorry i didn’t call you, thought you were already busy enough , didn;’t wanna bother you with it but i’ll make it up to you. I’ll leave it up to you on how i can do that.”

“I think I could handle it,” he teased as he finished counting and signing the final count for the deposit. Once the drawers were all closed, he backed away from the register and over to the door.

“well then you are lucky so i’ll come with you. It’s not allowed to say no to the boss.” she teased and nudged his shoulder as she walked over to the door, ready to leave as she waited for her boss

Robin offered a smile before standing up straight. “Okay, sounds good..” He made his way over to the counter and finished up counting the money. He was beyond glad that most people used credit cards since there wasn’t much to count by hand at the moment. All he wanted to do was leave the store and call it a night. “I’m still offering that coffee, by the way..”

KC grabbed her stuff and placed it at the front as she waited for Robin to be done. “I am up for that coffee if you don’t mind an overheated sweaty girl as your company.” she teased him, she wasn’t sweaty or overheated but just had to joke since they worked a lot today.

Again, she rolled her eyes at him. Why did he always throw so many compliments? She was used to it but she never knew how to take them correctly. “What about… other than me? Tell me about your life today?” She asked, her eyes on him once again.

“My life has been quiet but good, finally had another work out in the gym ater being sick for a week long but i’m feeling fresh and great again.” he smiled he told her everything he could

“I don’t want to leave you doing this by yourself, that’s a bit too much to ask,” he quickly shot back. He gathered more things in his arms and began to place them in their respective shelves. God, those kids seemed to grab everything in sight, it made him glad that they left the more ‘priceless’ items behind cases. The last thing he needed was the big manager to get on their cases because expensive items were damaged out. “Beside,” he continued on as he gave the floor one last look over. “I think we’re almost done. We can leave the vacuuming for tomorrow morning.”

KC kept working hard till they were almost done. “Okay.” she nodded. “I’ll come in earlier so i can finish up vacuuming, you can count on me and leave it up to me i’ll make soem strcit rules tomorrow and shwo them to you so you can give your opinion on them so this won’t happen again.”

Kenna rolled her eyes, though left the grin on her face. She basked in the compliments and added an extra swing to her hips as he continued on. “Fine, I can’t complain too much. What about you?”

“I ain’t complaining i mean we are at the beach, it’s sunny i have a gorgeous girl next to me.” he chuckled as he looked super happy at her. this girl did something to him and he liked it

Kenna’s eyes landed on the tall male before her, the one with the damn weakening smile. God, she wanted to roll her eyes at that thought. Still, she gave the kiss back, offering a grin to curl at the corner of her lips before turning away. “That’s for me to know and you to suffer for,” she joked back, her sweet smile turning into a more mocking one.

“Hmm be careful or i might kiss you right here right now and i am niot sure it will stay at that with you in that sexy outfit.” he grinned playfully at her back “how are you today?’

Robin piled games and toys, placing them on the shelves where they belonged. They weren’t perfectly aligned like he usually wanted– they were haphazard, some of the action figure boxes almost tipped over, though the one behind it kept the balance. “Yeah, yeah, I know,” he huffed before stepping away. “But, for now, let’s just… deal with this.” He glanced over at KC, offering a gentle smile. “Look, I’ll buy some coffee or something, what do you say?”

“Otherwise,why don’t you take a break. you could use one after this day, i think i can manage this last bit all by myself .” she said carefully to him. she cared a lot about him and didn’t want him to get overworked

Kenna would have thought that she was a smart young lady. She had avoided getting too close with her clients and, in general, other people. There was a wall around herself, stronger than any other that was built by man today– but still, someone tried to tear it down. At first, she would play it off as casual flirtation, seeing how the attention made the butterflies spring to life. Soon enough, the two found themselves in some type of relationship– though Kenna would never really call it that. Things were just far too complicated for any kind of label. Though, if there wasn’t a label, why feel so flustered in the first place? She would just have to think of that later, right now she was gunning towards the beach to meet up with the young man who secretly made her question the silly rules she had imposed on herself.

When Nikko saw her arrive he smiled at her, she gaved him butterflies while in the flirt place they just started off as flirtations. he placed a soft kiss on her lips as he greeted her. “How was your work hours ? anyone better than i am.” he teased and started to walk on the beach he really liked her for who she is

Robin sauntered over to the pile. Honestly, he was shocked that she had gotten that far in. “Here, let me help,” he offered just before kneeling down and taking a few of the boxes in hand.

“Thanks.” she smiled at him! as she started to clean up with him. “We gotta make the rules a little bit more strict whso this won’t happen again. she looked at him as she spoke to him
