If Doctor Starline makes his version of Knuckles
It's basically the same backstory of Surge and Kit. Jackie tries to join the Restoration but gets kidnapped by Doctor Starline before he can. Starline implants cybernetics with shock absorbers, suspension dampers, pistons, and a hydraulic press jackhammer in his arms and legs, making him stronger and enabling him to jump higher. He fights like Bellamy from One Piece, essentially. Surge as the offense for Sonic, Kit as the support for her, and Mad Jack as the defence to occupy the rest of Sonic's friends
In the world, the reason why Mad Jack entered the IDW Sonic comic was that he was in a pod the whole time because Mad Jack disobeyed, tried and failed to save Surge, and Kit Starline kept him in storage to repurpose and figure out how Jackie resisted mind control, then memory-wiped them. After Starline's fall, some badniks found Starline's laboratory and discovered his pod; they attempted to destroy it, but inadvertently opened it. Mad Jack awoke not knowing who he was or what wonders.

-Split Hare: Spear Hand Thrust
-Springtrap: Compresses it, hits the opponent, and releases it as a long-ranged and powerful punch.
-Hop Punch: Ducking under an opponent and then lunging upwards with a powerful uppercut, mimicking the leap of a frog.
-March Hare Madness: he bounces from one spot to the next, increasing in speed with each successive spring, while also disorientating opponents with the continuous sound of springing. He keeps increasing his speed until he seemingly disappears from the spectators' view. Then he simply has to aim himself fist-first at the target and let the accumulated momentum do the rest.

-Bellamy's bane bane no mi sounds like "Bunny."
-Surge has Electrokinesis (Electricity Manipulation), Kit has Hydrokinesis (Water Manipulation). Jack gets Seismokinesis (Vibration & Kinetic Energy Manipulation)
I just found this Sonic Maker by chance while fooling around with it, and eventually, Jack was created. I kind of lean towards Rabbit jokes and theme. Jack the Rabbit = Jack Rabbit.
I don't know how to draw Sonic characters, let alone how to make a porcupine. A pangolin would be a good counterpart, but I already committed to the character, posted it, and with the feedback, might as well keep the character concept.
I don't think Doctor Starline would have time to find an exact counterpart to Knuckles like a porcupine, pangolin, or armadillo, my thoughts. Jackie was in the wrong place at the right time, and Starline just used what he had currently in his disposal.
