Kazuko the Kitsune. A fierce, yet elegant, roaming spirit warrior.

Legends of her story in Japan say in a time of war, she died the noblest of deaths, and was granted the honor of new spiritual life. She wonders her homeland, protecting the weak, blessing the chosen, granting good fortune and harvest when she can.

Kazuko was a fox in life, reborn as a kitsune spirit. She maybe a spirit, but its actually hard to tell her from mortal beings. Being a spirit, she's hard to wound or damage. But when Kazuko does manage to get hurt, she heals pretty quickly. A tail grown for every century she's been around, so 500+. Kazuko can make it so mortals cannot see her.

Kazuko is a spirit of fire and harvest. Bringing warm and light, dispelling darkness and evil with her flame. In times when needed she blesses fields for good yield, and her mere presence wards off pests.

Kazuko has witnessed much of the adventures of Sonic and his friends. Perhaps someday she may reveal herself to them, who knows?

Updated Dex Design

I tried to upgrade his design for a stronger silhouette (Inspired by Sonic), and tried to make his face shape more dynamic.

Nova

Original OC concept inspired by the story written by LollyFranken

After reading the story I imagined a new character named Nova. She is a quiet engineer and strategist who joins the team later and slowly finds a place where she belongs.

This is my own interpretation and a simple pencil sketch based on the ideas the story inspired.

I am a digital artist who enjoys reading OC stories and creating original character artwork from the ideas they spark.
