“Well, if you think you can handle it, I’ll start the planning.” Dorian replied, giving his friend a smile. When he heard the word ‘screwed’ come out of Niko’s mouth, he couldn’t keep in the giggle that erupted from his lips. “Well, that sounds awful.”

“Great! I’m really excited about it.” He’d never done anything like that before. It might have been a silly thing to be excited about, but he liked spending time with Dorian. When he giggled at him, he gave his friend a slight shove. “Don’t laugh. It is pretty awful. But so far, nothing bad has happened.”

“No, I think I’ll be alright. I mean, I’ve never done it before, but I think I can handle it,” Niko reassured him, smiling with him. “No, not really. There’s just not a lot of it to go around, you know? We just want to be careful not to use it all. If something were to happen to the tree we would be uh- screwed.”

Niko pressed his lips together tightly and nodded. "It would just be a week. I'd have a lot of other weeks to be outside." He knew something like that would be hard for him, especially since he did like being outside, but it was too cold outside anyway. "Hm, yes. Yeah, basically. And it gets rationed out so everyone gets enough."

"Alright, then I could do a week. Easy." Niko smiled, very sure that he could last doing nothing for a week. Really, he didn't need the other stuff, he just liked being around Dorian. "Okay, no. Neither of those things," he said, trying not to laugh. "We get it from a pixie dust tree. It flows from it."

Dorian let out a laugh, snorting. “’Tis true. But could you handle an entire week of it?” He asked, quirking a brow. “Well then, I’m not able to fly. What happens if you think sad or unhappy thoughts?” Dorian questioned. “You can only feel one emotion at a time?”

“Are there movies and TV shows involved in this week of junk food and blanket burritos?” Niko asked, trying to gauge whether or not he really could do it. “Well, you stop flying. Not good if you’re already mid-air. But, Neverland isn’t too far away, so you would just have to think happy thoughts for a little while.” He nodded at his question. “Exactly. But now I can feel as many emotions at a time as I want.”

“I’d be burrito’d in my bed with Bear and gorging myself on junk food. Sounds like a fun life.” Dorian said with a shrug. “Humans can fly? Oh yes, now I remember that you told me that. Well, good thing you can go to fairy size.”

“Okay, but you could do that with me any time. I like Bear and junk food,” Niko replied, figuring that was a pretty good argument. “Yes, but humans have to think happy thoughts or else they can’t fly.” He nodded. “I guess so. But sometimes fairy size kind of sucks. We’re so small and only big enough to feel one emotion at a time. I kind of like being this size better.”

“Well, how fortuitous that we found each other.” He said, a hint of sarcasm dripping. “Humans have been to Neverland? How? Where exactly is Neverland? So you’d be like Godzilla?”

“Oh, come on. It’s great! Where would you be without me?” Niko asked, actually interested instead of it just being a rhetorical question. “Pixie dust. You have to fly to get there. Second star to the right and straight on till morning, I thought I told you that already. Yes, exactly like Godzilla. Except hopefully without the destruction.”

"I've never really had a best friend either." Niko replied, shrugging his shoulders. He was nice to everyone, no one Exactly in particular. But he counted Dorian as a best friend. "Well, not really. I mean, humans have been to Neverland. But Pixie Hollow is kind of small for a human."

Dorian smiled and fisted his hands in Niko’s shirt, breathing in his comforting scent. “You would really come with me, just to annoy me?” He asked with a laugh.

Niko nodded, smiling back at him as he felt Dorian ball up his shirt in his hands. “I would,” he said, chuckling. “I’ve never met someone I feel so close to, the way it is with you. It just seems right to go with you.”

“We should try it sometime. I’m sure Bear wouldn’t mind.” He said, loosening his hold on Niko, but not letting go. “Of course I would… It’s up to you if you want to come or not.” Dorian said, taking a deep breath.

“As long as he wouldn’t mind, then.” Niko smiled, glad that Dorian seemed to be a bit happier now. “Sure, I’d like to go with you. I’ve never seen a big city and you need someone to annoy you with silly stuff sometimes.”

Adeline smiled. “Thanks. I’m from Belgium. I’m Adeline its nice to meet you.”

“You’re welcome. Belgium?” He thought for a moment, trying to figure out if he knew where that was. “It’s nice to meet you, Adeline, I’m Niko. From Pixie Hollow.”

"Sure. I think it'd be pretty fun. It would be like riding a monster dog." Niko smiled, figuring he would actually do it sometime. "Would you want me to go to New York with you?" He asked, mostly hoping he would say yes. He'd never seen New York before and he didn't really want to leave Dorian.
