What made you start suddenly ship Butterscotch and Nil and why do you like it so much? I'm very curious about it
Im so happy that someone asked me this!!
I started shipping Nilscotch for a lot of reasons!!
It started when I realized that Syrupscotch(an implied ship) and Thyme×Space×Nil felt weird to me.
When Pastille made Gumdrop, it was said that Gumdrop was made to be exactly like Syrup's type. Gumdrop doesn't look in the slighest similar to Butterscotch's aesthetic in my opinion, Gumdrop being more a cutecore aesthetic while Butterscotch, while not having a specific aesthetic, doesn't look cutecore at all.
Thyme×Space×Nil is odd because I feel like Thyme loves Space more than Nil and the ship feels like a stereotypical poly ship(I made a post a while ago explaining why I don't like this ship).
So after making this discovery I began to realize that Nil×Butterscotch is good for both of the characters.
Butterscotch is a person who's really sensitive about her appearance and others opinion on her, needing a person who gives constant validation.
Nil is an obsessive person(with her love interest, Thyme) who gets jealous easily and would do anything for Thyme. For example, in APOC she suggested deleting the sun because it was bothering Thyme. I know that the events in APOC aren't cannon but I think that comic was made to show just how obsessive Nil can get when she loves someone.
So, because of that, I think Nil would be a perfect partner for someone like Butterscotch, I feel like she'd help her with her insecurity towards herself if she loved her.
