Toph controversey
i was just watching through the new live action avatar and the controversey over tophs character by society is so interesting.
You have the writers and actress on one side claiming that she's going to be more feminine to be "realistic"
then on the other you have some fans claiming that she needs to be a lesbian because her origonal character fits the steryotype.
There's this need to fit her into catagories favoured by society that make you fit in, rather than letting her be her own person, ironically just like her parents.
Despite claiming to love the character, everyone missed the message her very character represents.
