HOLY FUK

Caine keeps all the humans in environments of constant overstimulation — but treats himself as "humanely" as possible
Trying to get this out before the new episode
Caine makes the humans live in a game-like world with bright ass colors and things that dont make sense
Yet retreats to more human like spaces for himself and the npcs
Dont know the implications for this, and I'm too dumb to make up a proper theory
But the stark contrast to where he disappears to and the world the circus members live in is bizzare?
Caine keeps the humans in a constant state of environmental overstimulation — Yet gives himself the most HUMAN treatment
Everything around the all the human characters is always bright and colored
From the circus (which yeah i get, its a circus) but even to their rooms, places to unwind, everything is constantly loud, bright and extremely lit up.
But, in the first episode a major lore drop was revealed. Caine himself retreats to very calm, serene, human-like spaces.
Like look at this place, its beautiful
In the beginning i was like, oh Caine is an ai, he's not really capable of capturing human experiences, but NO HE DOES THIS ON PURPOSE
Even on their adventures, the environment is always bright.
When its not, its always bad experiences / something that always kills the realism (the bar the environment and the humans are in black and white) —
OR environments they wouldn't likely find themselves in, in their regular past lives
Even on adventures where they are in human-like spaces, it's always one associated with stress (like the fast food)
but even there, Caine got the nice comfy office interior
like there is quite literally a divide between Caine and his human-looking office and Gangle with the weird loud paintings behind
From the back rooms liminal setting, the therapist room, the presidents office, the baseball stadium, he makes it "as normal as can" but then also always adds something off-putting about it too (The liminal feeling, weird paintings, baby head light, a centipede cheering)
Like they're never allowed to FEEL human again.
look at the trees, but then look at the plants here.
Look at the food here, And the food they're given
So its not that he's incapable of making these spaces he just refuses to give access to them
And it kinda takes me to the constant theory of the connection to the game I have no mouth but i must scream
I dont know the implications of all i have discovered here, im sure someone else can make a better theory but i do find this bizzare and noteworthy
He tries to disconnect the from their human lives as much as possible
