dovepeterson:
After a long night of waiting tables, Dove’s shift was finally over. Figuring she should celebrate the end of the day, she decided to treat herself to a drink. Once at the bar, she ordered herself a long island ice tea and began scamming the texts on her phone. She hadn’t noticed the other woman sitting, her eyes were too busy on the screen. However, when she spoke up about her drink, she got curious and looked over. “Good taste. This stuff will get you happily wrecked in no time.” she smiled, doing her best to cheer the woman up.
A breath of a laugh had been released in response, soon to be followed by a deep sigh; heavy with exhaustion. The hotel, the job. None of it was what she had planned out in life. But what could she do? “That’s exactly what I’m going for,” Nina spoke in agreement, lifting the glass in her direction upon having received it. However, she paused, brow lifting curiously and lip curving upward as she eyed the girl. “Though, why is it that you know that?” She questioned. At first glance, the blonde didn’t seem the type to drink. At least, not for that purpose.
