AG Sisters: Friendship Fun Amazon preview pages reveal our first look at American Girl's new doll line!

AG Sisters, a doll line about four modern best friends, will be releasing later this year. The activity book is set to debut in December.

While the dolls have not yet been seen, we have a look at the designs of all four girls:

Francie, a light-skinned girl with black hair with bright highlights, a butterfly-themed outfit, and a pet poodle. She seems to enjoy animals and/or crafting, and the color purple.

Wesley, a dark-skinned girl with black hair with pink highlights, a heart-themed outfit, and a pet bunny. She seems to be interested in baking and the color yellow, though her outfits also have pink and purple shades.

Lea, a medium-skinned girl with brown hair with pink streaks, a rainbow-themed outfit, and a pet cat. She seems to be interested in roller-skating and the color pink.

Jozette, a light-skinned girl with blonde hair with bright blue streaks, a star-themed outfit, and a yellow puppy. She seems to be interested in soccer and other athletic activities, and the color blue.

They all live in the same neighborhood, possibly with their houses being right next to each other, or at least walking distance, and they have a clubhouse in Wesley's backyard. They also seem to live somewhere warm or southern, as they don't have any snow or fallen leaves on the ground during New Year's Eve celebrations. We've seen brief images also of Wesley's Dad, one Mom each for the other girls, and a little boy and girl who may be Jozette's younger siblings.

What do you think? I personally think it seems a bit too similar to the WellieWishers to feel like its own distinct line, but we'll have to see how it looks when more than just a single activity book is previewed, and when we see what the dolls look like. My conspiracy theory is they'll look suspiciously similar to the currently popular Disney ILYs but somehow cost three times as much.

After losing out on becoming World All Around Champion at both the 1993 and 1994 Worlds due to falls on vault, Dominique Dawes rebounds by becoming the 1994 U.S. National All Around Champion and winning all four event titles, becoming the first gymnast since 1969 to sweep the competition. Dominique was also the second ever African-American National All Around Champion, after Diane Durham’s win in 1983. (x) (x)
