𝐈 even though my Rukia is mostly manga based, I will cherry pick some elements from anime that I like. It's been a very long time since I have watched it, especially fillers that I'm not really found of. When it comes to timeline she's set in, it's post TYBW while she's still Lieutenant. I can also adapt to any other timeline when requested or if I make a notice of it.

All the passion, heart, and soul were put into the new creation she presented, hoping this time Ichigo would come to senses and appreciate the fine art she so carefully crafted. Startled. A loud eek dropped mid-way when, in panic, her slippery hand toppled the water bowl; it rolled in a semi-circle as the liquid mixed with ink on all her works, turning them wet and blurry. The brush she held had no luck either; it was dropped on her current drawing, leaving stains on the paper, only making it worse as the water reached it. Staring at the crime scene in horror-- elbow pressed against the table, fingers dug into the raven hair as she was desperately trying to somewhat calm down. One could say such damage was nothing worthy of mention, not for one that belonged to a great noble family but she, she did not share a thought of such sort. Growing up in poverty taught her to appreciate the things she'd acquired... And now all wasted by a careless motion. Rukia pushed the chair to the back, just enough to get up and find the closest rag that would clean the tragic mess.

"Not anymore." a reply so long waited, spoken with an aggressiveness in her voice. One may think it was merely directed at the men she didn't favor, but it was a mistake-- the sentiment of anger was solely directed at her foolish actions.

Those you wished to see the least always found their way to appear at the right place and at the right time to exult in a mistake you made. Of course, it had to be him. The attachment emerged from a shadow of her own. Was it yet another time he expected to be the victim of his mockery? See her annoyed? Filled with hatred? Showing any kind of ill reaction that could bring a satisfactory? Or, was he truly bored, lacking company at the time? Or it was better not to question anything. Cowardly did he dodge such a question posed, an answer he'd never provide. A soft sigh escaped her lips. The wooden target was not damaged in the way it was supposed to be. Being privileged without wanting to-- graduating just like that without proving her skills, led to her position being questioned for decades, and a thorn in her heart remained dug in deep despite proving herself worthy. To some degree-- always criticizing herself despite everything.

No one ever knew the extremities she put herself on, not the tears, not the sweat, not the unslept nights, not the days of starvation-- maybe to some degree, on the surface, it could have been noticed but she was skilled enough to put away troubles of her own from the eyes of many. Never letting anyone fully witness it.

"I don't need to be told something I already know, which is why I'm at training grounds if such wasn't obvious. It must be very upsetting for you to be wrong." Rukia finally commented, not even bothering to make eye contact but rather continuing with the practice despite the uninvited guest.
