I refuse to accept that Mystake is dead.

In a show where characters die and then return in time for supper, there is no way a full blooded Oni warlord is the one character who is going to be gone forever.

How did she lose to Garmadon? The only theory I will accept is that Mystake lost on purpose, because even if he's evil, she still doesn't want to hurt Garmadon. But even then, she totally could've shape shifted into a rat or something and escaped, right?

I hope she's still out there somewhere, going around Ninjago City as a variety of different animals and pranking random people and keeping an eye on the ninja to make sure they don't get into too much trouble without her around to help.

I have a THEORY!

Okay, Garmadon's Oni part is what was brought back and what was evil, so he would technically be a full Oni, yet also not at the same time. Even so, Mystake (as you said) is full blooded and full form Oni, so there is no way she would've lost to Garmadon, again as you said.

Going along with your thoughts on how Mystake wouldn't hurt Garmadon, probably because she knew the FSM and Wu + Garmadon when they were boys; but I'm gonna add my own spin to things here. That spin being that since Oni are creatures of destruction, not creation, that they can sense death, not life like dragons can. Both Oni and Dragons are sensual in their own, opposite ways, though what they are able to sense (life or death) is the same as the very presence they themselves give off; Oni have the presence of death while Dragons have the presence of life. (That could be why it's so unheard of to kill and Oni; they are tricksters and deceivers, so when death is sensed upon one, they could merely be faking.)

So, with all that in mind, here's a short little excerpt to go with it after her "defeat":

Garmadon was surprised of how easy it was to exterminate the old Oni, despite her being pureblooded. However, that surprise was not in how weak Mystake had been, but how powerful he had truly become with his rebirth.

The body was limp before him, laying motionless on that rooftop they inhabited. Garmadon took a few slow steps towards the Oni, hands - all four of them - folded behind his back.

"Master, she may be faking; she is a deceiving old hag, be cautious." It was Harumi to have spoken up.

The Emperor turned to gaze down at the pale-haired girl, piercing red eyes boring into her before he spoke; deep, slow, eerily melodic. "Quiet, child. With my newfound power from resurrection," - he lifted a hand to flex it, summoning those purple flames of destruction to his palm - "I can defeat even an Oni that is more so than myself." He closed his first, snuffing his own dark flames, as he looked to the limp form sprawled on the ground in front of him. He used his foot to not-so-gently roll Mystake's body over as he spoke. "You also forget, Oni's can sense death. And that is what I feel emanating from her measly form; take her from my sight and get rid of the body. How dare she call herself an Oni."

He may have known what Oni's could sense, yet he did not know that their presence presented the very same thing.

Harumi bowed in response. "Yes, my master..." He gestured to the others atop the building and the biker guards moved forward to lift the Oni and take her away as Garmadon turned and took slow, deliberate steps back to his menacing throne.

As Mystake was hauled away and eventually tossed to the side like garbage and tucked away, hidden somewhere secluded and discreet. The bikers who had brought her there - ever the idiots - immediately turned and began walking back without a second thought, talking and joking amongst themselves.

They had turned too soon to catch notice of the faint glow protruding from beneath the trash.

And they were too distracted to witness the rat crawling out from beneath and scurrying off into the darkness...

Okay, this is beautiful and is now canon to me.

Mystake is brilliant and very much alive and no one can convince me otherwise.

This is, at least in my opinion, one of the most disturbing moments in all of Ninjago.

Lloyd's scream of pain makes me uncomfortable every time. He is helpless and trapped and Morro takes full advantage and even though it happens off screen, I can only imagine how terrified he was.

...but then after he becomes the green ninja and saves the day and purifies garmadon from evil his dad starts wearing green in support of him???
