Fading Light (by David Hodge)
demoncarverleadership:
There are definitely a lot of things that I think are likely Gerudo, yeah. Some of them look really old and really important. There’s also a bunch of stuff like unopened crates, chests, belt bags, sacks, at least one proper rucksack…swords, shields, spears. Some of them are really pretty, actually.
Riju and I will arrive shortly. I hope that if you discovered any of your defectors, you saved some of them for us.
demoncarverleadership:
I meant for either of you, really. I assumed you, too, would be interested. There’s a lot of really old shit here. We could make a party of it, bring some folks to clear out anybody who thinks camping here as a splinter group is a good idea, then wade through the thousands of years worth of loot we’ve just sort of shoved into a hidden room and never really bothered with because we have everything we need.
And while it isn’t bananas, it is bananas. As in keeseshit. As in I was unaware we were this kind of kleptosociety.
I would certainly be interested in seeing a collection of objects the Yiga have stolen. I suspect that I will find a number of things which belong to the Va’ruvo. Or am I wrong?
@ninthheroine
I remembered something. Went to check, and it’s still there. Apparently the entrance is hidden well enough that nobody’s bothered to get into it.
Wanna see a Yiga hoard that isn’t bananas?
I have to presume that you intended this message for Riju. She is asleep now, but I will alert her to your invitation tomorrow following her lessons.
@ninthheroine
Hey! If Riju gets this, I’m at Zelda’s for the night. Wanted to make sure you knew what was going on so you’d worry a little less, for tonight, if nothing else.
If Urbosa gets this, would you mind passing the message on to Riju for me? And maybe keep her company until I get back tomorrow? I promise I won’t be gone long.
I will pass your message along. I am certain that Riju will appreciate your checking in.
demoncarverleadership:
I got a bunch of stuff I’m gonna put in her house. Frogs, bugs, a few squirrels. A plant or two that stinks. I’ll show you what I did when I visit later!
Yes! I am waiting to see. So tankar suraq, maitahl e se. I will be seeing you later!
demoncarverleadership:
Zelda was being rude, so I’m going to prank the shit out of her. That’ll teach her.
Oh! I am knowing this word, “prank.” You will make jokes at her expense? That is funny! What will you do?
Tools of revenge obtained.
What are these tools? For what are you seeking revenge?

fingerboardrhapsodist:
I didn’t mean to imply I would go in. There’s a shrine nearby, and a massive expanse of desert, it’s not difficult to let my children play in the sand with an umbrella for shade while you investigate the thunder drum for a while.
That said, you visiting Kakariko would be nice. I think you would get along well with my mother.
I will make the trip tomorrow morning. Expect me at nine.
fingerboardrhapsodist:
Of course! Would you like to visit Kakariko? If not, I can come to Gerudo Town, or Hateno Village. If I travel, I can make a day of it and bring the little ones, they like to visit new places. Vita’s even comfortable being held with Sypha where I can use the slate to bring them along with me now. He used to get really grumpy when I would try, so we had to travel via cart if we wanted to go anywhere with him.
I will pretend as though you are merely ignorant to the laws of my people, and that you are simply being naïve as you ask if you may visit Gerudo Town. I will come to you. It is easier for me to leave my charge than for you to leave yours.
