I just logged into this account on a whim today to see what would happen, but I don’t really use this account anymore since I just felt like I needed a fresh start. It's not often that I #bookstagram but I couldn't help but share this treasure I found at a library book sale. This is At the Back of the North Wind by George MacDonald, and it still has the library card in it with dates stamped on it going all the way back to the 60's, making this the oldest book we currently have in our collection. I've seen and held many older books since my mother was a huge fan of antique books and had several in her collection that were at least 200 years old, but I still consider a nearly 60-year-old book to be quite an accomplishment. Especially how good of condition it's in. Yep, finally started a new fanfic, peeps! I’ll release it chapter by chapter, but I’ve actually completely written the story already, so you don’t have to worry about being left hanging. :) I had a lot of fun writing it. Hopefully you’ll have a lot of fun reading it!

Jack, are you excited for the the autumn season? I've noticed frost on the ground and on cars, and I can't help but get excited thinking that winter is steadily on it's way!

You bet I’m excited for autumn! I get super psyched every year when autumn returns to the Northern Hemisphere and I get to return with it. The cold months in the north are so much more exciting than the cold months in the south. And there are more people. People are good. I like people. A lot. Maybe too much. :P

Suffice it to say, yeah, I’m pretty excited, and I look forward to seeing the kind of winter I can cook up this year!

If you could pick one day of the year to live over and over again, what would it be?

Honestly, I can’t fathom why I would want to live a single day over and over again, even if I could pick one particular day from one particular year. Even though I goof around a lot, life is honestly really hard. Sometimes the only comfort from completing a hard day is the fact that it is now completed. Even if I know very well that the next day will be just as difficult, putting one hard day into the past gives me enough strength to face the next one.

Still, that’s probably not a very fun answer, is it? Let’s see if I can come up with something a little more fun for you. There’s always the classic plotline of repeating Christmas over and over. Or that movie of being stuck in Groundhog Day, which could be hilarious if the Groundhog predicts that winter will last longer that year. Bunny’s face is spectacular every time he discovers this. 

There’s also the day I return to the Northern Hemisphere in the autumn and start to meet up with my old friends again. Would I want to repeat the day? I don’t know. But it is a special day to me.

If you’re curious though, this is a fanfic that I wrote a few years back on a similar topic. It’s more about trying and failing to change a specific event in the past than about being caught in one specific time loop, though a time loop still happens from it. I figure it might satisfy your curiosity in any case. :)

Have you ever managed to steal cookies from North? Or does he have the eyes of a hawk?

Dude, he can’t even tell when his elves are stealing cookies, let alone one of the Guardians who he thinks he doesn’t have to watch out for. Admittedly, it was a lot harder to achieve a cookie theft before being sworn in as a Guardian, but that’s only because of the yetis. They have to be nice to me now, and they hate it. Especially since North hadn’t even realized I’d been trying to break into the workshop until I admitted it to him. Chances are good that he’ll never notice a few extra cookies going missing.

Let’s be real, North just doesn’t notice these things. I know I’ve caught Bunny stealing cookies on a couple occasions. And I could swear I saw Sandy do it once too. Tooth is still innocent… for now. She probably hates the sugar content, or she would totally do it too. North eats too many cookies anyway, so we’re really doing a service to him by stealing some of his cookies. It’s all out of the kindness of our hearts. Really.

Have you ever travelled in a car before, even if you don't need to?

What kind of trickster spirit would I be if I hadn’t tried to ride in a car at least once? Cars are ripe with golden opportunities to cause trouble. Why would I want to miss out on that?

The best times to hitch a ride in a car are right after someone has been told a haunted car story. One can barely lift a finger then and cause even grown men to scream in terror.

So, I’ve been away for months because I reeeeeeeeeaally hate summer, and then I finally come back only to find out that birds are apparently dinosaurs now. 

I haven’t been around all that long by dinosaur time, so I can’t really say the idea is wrong. I should see what the other Guardians think of the idea though, since they’ve been around a lot longer. They’ll probably think I’m crazy. But that’s nothing new, so bring it!

Though I especially look forward to seeing Tooth’s reaction to this. My coworker might be a dinosaur, guys!
