nira hums quietly, “unbound at my worst, huh?” the back-and-forth is familiar, the hitch in the other woman’s breath is familiar. and it hurts if she’s being honest, if she thinks too far into it. but all she can think about, all she can focus on, is the way sam is looking at her and the speed at which her heart is beating. and she knows sam never backs down from a challenge, she had always found that confidence sexy- she still does, and that’s being made as clear a ever, “good. i’m glad some things never change.” especially when so much else had, “you always did like to end up on top.” the feeling of sam’s hand on top of hers is soft, the familiarity, the gentleness, it makes nira pause for a moment, eyes studying sam carefully as she waits for the next move. the overwhelming energy of the moment, though, isn't soft. it’s thick. with tension, with their history. she swallows, letting sam pull her hand further up her thigh, eyes never leaving sam’s face, watching the way her eyes burn and her lips move. the next move isn’t entirely unexpected, but nira can’t help the small gasp that leaves her lips as the other is suddenly in her lap, lips against her jaw- a shiver moving through her body at the action- and then on hers. nira reacts quickly, arching into the kiss, one hand moving up and tangling itself in sam’s hair, the other pulls at her top and slips beneath it, pulling her flush against her, fingers finding an all too familiar place against her side. there’s not time to think about how bad this could actually be or what this means, all she can think about is how sam’s lips still feel and how much she’s missed this. missed her. and, yeah, this is going to leave a lot of questions, but they don’t need to be answered right now. only one question needs an answer now, “tell me how you want me. what do you want me to do?” she asks as she pulls away breathlessly, nose brushing against sam’s softly, not even bothering to worry about how smeared her lipstick is now or if she sounds too desperate. it’s insane how, in an instant, sam can still take nira’s mind off of almost anything
