Have a bit of an unusual request on my hands! I've had someone reach out to ask me to ask if people might be interested in alice in borderland keychains ( specifically since they made these paired niragi & chishiya versions but they may do other characters! ) that they are considering selling as little charms like this. They've made more refined/cleaned versions of the physical canvas paintings pictured below which is what they'd sell as keychains / maybe small prints if people would be interested. They would just like some initial feedback on interest and since they're both a nirashiya fan and the initial product is nirashiya themed, they thought what better place to start? I'm happy to help! And if anyone else ever wishes to sell their nirashiya prints/products I'm happy to help promote in our community!
Fanart for day 5 of Nirashiya midwinter week - Wonderland AU
(VERY, very, verry late one and I'm sorry-)
Anyway I'd love to say that I had some artistic motive behind choosing 2010 version and Niragi as a JubJub bird, but the truth is... Chishiya just looks good in blue, and Niragi with wings-
this fic is absurdly late between travel, holidays, and being sick and it feels too late to properly finish this Christmas themed fic for Domestic Gestures. But !! as exclusive Tumblr viewers you guys get the 1.5k of it I did finish before everything fell apart. You can see it under the read more, also just fun little notes at the end
FIREWORKS ON WIRES
Prompt: SFW Day 7: Domestic Gestures
Cheery Christmas music floats through the aisles of the store in a hellish cycle of the same handful of songs that play every year without fail. There are new holiday songs that come out, but they never seem to catch on with the masses. Chishiya is certain it has to do with a lack of nostalgia that new songs have compared to the older music. The older songs make the adults reflect on their own childhood and of happier times free from the stresses of their lives now. Naturally they play those songs to chase those rose-colored feelings, and thus perpetuate the cycle with their own offspring to create another cycle that refuses to be broken. His own feelings towards specific songs are arranged primarily based on which ones are the least annoying to him.
Reflecting on the frustrations of the holiday’s limited music selection will do nothing to ease his current predicament. Chishiya stands in front of the large section of the store dedicated solely to Christmas, from lights to indoor and outdoor decorations to stocking stuffers and wrapping paper. The aisles of decorations stretch on and on with the holiday’s increased popularity, all the way to the back wall where even that is decorated with more items – half for the average consumer and half for the tourists.
Much to his chagrin, Chishiya feels an inane prickle of irritation growing under his skin at his predicament.
This is ridiculous.
He shouldn’t be frustrated by something like this. There’s nothing special or important about the act of looking at and buying decorations. They’re nothing more than trinkets meant to spark holiday cheer and enthusiasm in the hearts of consumers. They do nothing to fill the space in his chest ; darkness so rich is smothers the light that tries to ooze through the fractures like wind in an abandoned building. Yet the awareness that this holds no value to him does nothing to soothe the spider of frustration spinning its increasingly large web inside his chest. His frustration isn’t about the fact he doesn’t care. His frustration comes from the absurdity that he has no idea where to even begin when it comes to the idea of decorating. How something so mundane and unimportant could vex him was beyond him.
A deep groan next to him prompts him to slide his gaze over to the left to spare a look at Niragi. Who, to Chishiya’s satisfaction, looks as annoyed as Chishiya feels. But unlike Chishiya, it’s written all over the ex-militant’s face.
“ Don’t look at me like that. “ Niragi doesn’t glance at him but evidently he knows exactly what Chishiya is doing – as would be expected. “ It’s just decorations. This shit of all things in the world is what stumps you? “ Grating and mocking and so very typical of the man that Chishiya is almost relieved to hear it.
Chishiya’s voice is flat with the delivery of his reply. “ I don’t see you doing any better. “ A point he emphasizes by gesturing at the empty cart sitting in front of them with a flicker of smug satisfaction behind his eyes. “ And you have actually celebrated Christmas before as I recall having been mentioned. "
It was information that hadn’t been voluntarily shared with the approach of the holidays. Chishiya had figured it out by Niragi’s slipped comments or the commentary he had on matters that Chishiya had nothing to say on. Chishiya’s own parents had little care for it ; his father likely never even realized and his mother cared only if it came up in social circles and needed to be acknowledged for the external projection of perfection. So Niragi’s remarks stuck out to him where they might have been unnoticed by others.
Niragi makes a rough, annoyed noise in the back of his throat at the comment as he turns to glare at Chishiya. “ Yeah, and the last time I did I was like seven at most. “ Chishiya knows him well enough to pick out the thread of uncertainty in his voice, like Niragi isn’t sure he was even that old last time he celebrated. “ Outdated as hell. “
Chishiya’s eyes fall on the rows of commercial Santa hats in front of them and he picks one up like he’s discovered a strange bug crawling around on a notebook. It looks ridiculous. He’s certain it would look even more ridiculous on Niragi’s head. Which means Chishiya has every intention of making that occur within the holiday season for his own amusement. He turns with a smirk and lazily twirls the hat on his finger, watching as Niragi’s eyes snap towards the movement with an intensity out of place for this world and such a little gesture. Still a trigger-happy dog. More specifically, his trigger-happy dog.
“ Did you ever believe in Santa? “ Chishiya asks as he tilts his head to the side with feigned laziness.
For a split second, Niragi cracks. Chishiya can see something squirming behind his eyes, the discomfort that writhes like a rabbit caught in a net. And then it snaps shut as Niragi glares, smacking the hat and sending it falling to the ground where they both stare at it but don’t touch it.
“ Fuck no. That’s stupid. “ Niragi jeers and Chishiya thinks he’s being too aggressive for the truth to be anything but the opposite of what he claims.
Chishiya does agree that the idea is pure nonsense. He never had believed in it when he had discovered his classmates babbling about with a sickening look of bright delight in their eyes. It took one of them explaining it for him to even grasp the idea of Santa or the absurdity of flying reindeer. He hadn’t brought it up to his parents, but neither had he torn apart the illusion that the kids seemed happy to buy. He’d merely rolled his eyes and turned back to his books instead.
“ If you say so. “ His tone drips with complete insincerity that has Niragi bristling like a dog baring its teeth.
“ You’re lucky all the Christmas lights are in boxes. “ He settles for. What he means is I would strangle you with them if I could. But they’re in boxes, so Chishiya merely smirks while Niragi stews.
Chishiya opts for silence as he shoves his hands into his pockets and chooses a random aisle to walk down. It was better than just standing there doing nothing besides delaying the inevitable. Niragi huffs but Chishiya can hear the rattle of the unstable wheels on the cart signaling Niragi is following him just as he always does. Always has since they met in the Borderlands, with those dark eyes following his every move. Everything about this experience feels so…normal. Appallingly mundane and average in the grand scheme of everything they’ve done and survived. Chishiya cannot imagine there’s many universes where he would ever be shopping for Christmas decorations, much less with Niragi.
They never did talk about what their plan for decorating was in great length or detail either. That probably wasn’t contributing to making this experience easier for either of them. Chishiya did it so Kuina would stop her commentary whenever she stopped by their apartment, and Niragi had taken it as a challenge when Saiko had snorted and said that decorations would probably kill Niragi and Chishiya both. Chishiya had never pinned her for the holiday type and he still doubts that she is ne, but Saiko and Niragi were both each other’s hype-person and friendly-rival when it came to small things. Either way, it meant Niragi suffered with Chishiya, which as satisfying enough.
Chishiya stops in front of a row of white wired lights, the display lights glowing with a cheerful, vibrant cluster of multicolored lights that manage to catch his attention. He does like these multicolored lights. They remind him of little fireworks pinned down on wires like pressed flowers on books. His eyes shift away, and he drifts along to look at the various icicle lights that would look good on the patio that he almost never goes out onto. He lingers at both before he moves on. Behind him, he hears several thuds of boxes being tossed into the cart.
Niragi is rather hopelessly predictable when it comes to some things despite his general unpredictability that thrills Chishiya.
There’s still plenty of aisles of Christmas decorations for them to get through, though Chishiya has hopes they’ll get everything they need within the next three aisles at most. Chishiya’s certain he won’t get used to the sight of Niragi strolling behind him with a cart like any other average couple when they’re anything but. It had just happened, the same way Niragi had just one day never left his apartment. Never quite discussed properly, never labeled, but not done without the other’s knowledge and strange acceptance of it either.
Chishiya’s also determined he’s going to throw that stupid hat into the cart when Niragi’s not looking on their way back too.
Fun little notes of things i never did write!
Chishiya and Niragi were going to do a gingerbread house or gingerbread train building competition just to Experience It since neither of them ever have. Yes they both think its dumb, but they're competitive when it comes to each other. So all it took was one offhand comment to get them to decide to do it. Yes, Chishiya was snacking on the candy and Niragi snapped at him to quit it.
The gingerbread houses/trains fail regardless and they decide to never speak of it again.
Ending scene was kind of just going to be chill moment of on the couch with the main lights off and christmas lights on and admitting that it is kind-of nice
Plenty more death threats from niragi & 'maybe you are in hell' snide remarks from Chishiya through the whole process of christmas decorating or gingerbread building.
Saiko is in fact impressed. Kuina is Not.
Honestly it was never going to be in the fic but yes Chishiya DOES get the hat on Niragi for like 3 seconds and manages a picture and he's never letting it be lived down. Niragi can't look intimidating with the hat on.
Extra fun bonus for those who read this far. I AM still doing the cult fic for them but god knows when that will be finished bc it's either going to be one long af oneshot or a couple chapters. May or may not announce it here but it'll go into the collection even if i finish it 8 months from now. Also lowkey circling back on the winter fic but letting myself recover from the burnout.
Concept that the residents of 'The Beach' are all vampires in a cult under Hatters reign, they've lived through decades and eras, and whenever Hatter feels motivated he throws a 'coronation' party to turn a few more.
💕 Leading to Chishiya 'offering' his blood out his charitable little heart 💕
Under the readmore find my rambles and some over versions 🙏
Rambles in this AU:
Hatter is the head vampire and Aguni was his first turned
They've been vampires for centuries and eventually the concept of their endless existence drove Hatter mad
Their relationship soured and Aguni demanded his own brood - Hatter is still the only one who turns them (note: I'm undecided whether he keeps the process a secret or something else), but this leads to Niragi becoming a vampire
A few decades later Chishiya is converted by Hatter's selection
They're tanked by the order they're turned
There is only one way to kill a vampire (lmao I haven't thought about this) and it's a taboo under Hatter's law however over time some vampires are thinned which raises Chishiya through the rank - whether he was involved in some of them who knows
Niragi and Chishiya tease, chase, follow each other across decades and sea, in some years they avoid each other but still constantly have a connection
Because they can't die (unless under specific means...) Chishiya gets to light Niragi on fire only for him to be healed a year later and Niragi gets to shoot Chishiya as much as he wants knowing he will come back time and time again
And that's all I got 🤲🙇♀️ I hope this gives you vampire Nirashiya thoughts into 2026 🦇
While they both feed on humans, the only vampire's blood they feed on is each other - Vampire blood being not as fresh as humans
In this party it's a requirement to share your blood (because I said so) hence their necks being bloody, cut to fill a cup - they may have also been snacking on some humans as hors d'oeuvres before meeting (also because I said so)
A drabble to go with my rambling:
"Coronation day.
Resurrection day.
The Hatter’s Easter Sunday.
It went by many titles.
A night dressed up to fit the era, sometimes annual, sometimes not – Something that looked like a sweet red apple while rotten at it's core.
A night of corruption and sin, a reminder of just where they all came from and whose blood ran through their veins. The majority relished in it, exhausted every sin and collapsed in faux euphoria afterwards, while the wiser minority indulged in caution.
Tonight’s offerings fell in an age where humans could communicate instantly across continents, false idols weren’t shunned but paraded in every form of media one could acquire, and where a beach resort and red cups were a fitting environment for a madman’s party.
For a vampire like Chishiya, events like this were an opportunity to assess numbers, count new heads and note missing faces. This was an occasion to be attended by invite only, one paid by blood and servitude - Fresh faces were expected, they would be turned or fed on tonight depending on the host’s mood. Whereas absent names meant dead or death. So, it was chance to take stock, watch baby fawns wobble on their legs and cross others off the ‘family’ tree.
For a vampire like Niragi, it was an opportunity to establish dominance, ensure his name stayed written in blood across his peer’s minds and cash in on the fear already instilled in the weaker of his kind. He was a figurehead, someone with tenure, a convert from the first few batches who had earned and stayed within the first integers of the ranks.
All of them had been turned by Hatter, all of them shared his blood. However some had the privilege of turning first, of being offered salvation in the form of extended fangs and eyes which glowed red under moonlight. The ceremony was trivial, less of formality than the decision of who to bring into the brood next. A decision only two people made – Hatter, and Aguni.
Hatter had his devotees but of them all there was always his first, his partner, his first bite – Aguni. Passionate, adoration and desires as the base and deep-rooted loyalty as the body, they shared centuries together, something only gods got to experience. Though, that was the problem. A vampire isn’t a god. It’s the farthest thing from it to all with sanity still with them, something Aguni clung to and Hatter abandoned. When Hatter demanded religion Aguni demanded his own disciples, which led to Niragi.
Niragi was chosen by Aguni, converted by Hatter. Someone the world discarded, that rejected himself and reinvented time and time again. To all concerned Niragi was the perfect vampire, a creature created to be despised who relished in the violence that came with survival. Where he walked, carcasses littered the ground.
Chishiya was chosen by Hatter, converted by Hatter. Someone who saw humanity as a question mark, that considered life as a puzzle in newspaper. Challenging but ultimately something that could be discarded till another time, especially for someone with all the time in the world. A spectre observing as life moved around him.
Where Niragi stormed through existence, Chishiya shifted in and out of frame. Yet they navigated together, conflict sparking over and over, a magnetic pull following them from city to city, continent to continent. There were years they wouldn’t see each other, then others where they would 'be' together, dependent on Niragi’s emotions and Chishiya’s apathy. Years they would leave each other for a death that wouldn’t come, years where they left each other gasping for breath feeling more alive than when life was the ultimate motivator.
There was one way to kill a vampire, something that was known to a selective few. Niragi beat it out of a someone, tested the theory and then got scalded for it. Chishiya found it out through conversation, a slip of the tongue carefully orchestred.
It was known to them both and while Hatter had his rules and punishments, something they both valued very little, it was line never crossed between each other. They were off limits. The unspoken agreement. Curiosity of the kill never outweighing the dependency between them.
So every ‘coronation’ they gravitated together, never arriving together but seeking each other out, even if they were together that morning.
And on tonight, with plastic cups filled of blood, Chishiya extended his to Niragi as he found him in the crowd.
With that, Nirashiya Midwinter Week comes to a close!
But do not fear! Late submissions are MORE than welcomed if you still want to participate! I will be actively monitoring / present here for the next month and a half or so. So if you didn't have time or inspiration to finish things but do now or later down the road, you're contributions are more than welcomed!
Once again, i want to give a BIG THANK YOU to all of those who contributed as well as to all of those who shared and showed their love to the creators. Without you, without the support, none of this would likely happen. So thank you to everyone here 💖.💅
Born from the idea of Chishiya being the main character and me really wanting to see a nirashiya version of the camping panel 🙏
I didn’t think too hard about this AU bar Nirashiya mirroring Arisagi in the narrative and having Kuzuryu replace Mira as the final game master, some bullet points below on the few concepts I did think about while drawing this 🤝
Other things I considered:
Aguni and Hatter swap roles too, The Beach becomes The Base and is located in a Military Training Base
Chishiya and Niragi meet separately in the Tag game before finding The Base
The Base is ran by militants but influenced by Hatter as Aguni's rival faction, Hatter convinces Aguni on lighter attire over the prison gear he wants everyone to wear, i.e. that sugar helps the medicine goes down etc
Niragi and Chishiya agree to leave asap but Aguni sees them as threats and therefore keeps them at The Base via loose threats
Aguni dies similarly to how Hatter did, Hatter then goes mad at The Base but is interrupted by a game announcement
The Witch Hunt game is replaced by a new game called 'Old Maid', the rules are:
All the residents of The Base get dealt a card each from a classic 52 card deck with 1 additional Joker mixed in.
They must not reveal their cards to each other, doing so will mean immediate disqualification.
Each person must swap their original card with another before the end of the 2 hour timer, each person can only swap once.
The person with the Joker at the end of the 2 hours will be killed.
The Old Maid game emphasises the unfairness of life and luck, it challenges the group to come up with a fair way of choosing someone to die and whether that in itself is possible
I never decide how it would play out but had the idea Chishiya would end up with the Joker at some point and Niragi would offer to swap it with him for some reason (a selfish way for me to further establish their relationship - a grand display of affection by being a cocky fuck and wagering your life)
Either way they survive but The Base is irreversibly fucked up and Niragi fights their way out - Hence the bandages (-cough- which Chishiya 'lovingly' applies -cough-), Chishiya is also hurt but less so, his hoodie however is bloodied and Niragi gives him his shirt 💕
They participate in the Jack of Hearts and King of Spades games
They end up taking on the last face card, the King of Diamonds, similarly to Mira, Kuzuryu just plays games with Chishiya like Chess while taking mental jabs at Chishiya's new concept of the value of a life and perhaps the irrationality of affection
Chishiya ends up in a state similar to Arisu, getting trapped in his own head, Niragi breaks shit and threats to take both of their lives of he doesn't "wake the fuck up right now"
In the end there is no grand revelation to bring Chishiya back, it just takes Niragi implying if Chishiya can feel or learn something new when he's so damn sure of himself all goddamn the time then there's the gamble that there will be more things he will figure out, and would he really want Niragi to figure them out before him
Written for the prompts Obsession/Stalking of @nirashiyaweek 🤍
The first thing he does when he gets home is search online.
The hospital website yields a single staff photo on which Chishiya looks like someone’s holding him at gunpoint just out of frame, forcing him to participate in this mandatory display of workplace unity. Other than that, he has no digital footprint. No social media. No LinkedIn. Not even a Spotify account.
He’s a ghost. An all-white puzzle.
Luckily, Niragi is good at puzzles. He designs them for a living.
The next thing he does is jerk off.
a couple quick things! nothing serious or bad, all good & light, i just wanted to share before i forget.
1. If you want to participate, at least through AO3 but not make a post here, you're more than welcomed to & still add it to the collection! we've already had a couple, so i do recommend checking the collection page or just the general nirashiya page for bonus fics you might not see mentioned here! Your contributions are cherished just as much as those openly linking.
2. I will be, unfortunately, away on a trip the later half of this week. Fear not! I will still be sharing/reblogging everything (although my own fics probably delayed so pls don't worry about lateness) i just might be a bit slower to be able to check tumblr but I WILL be doing it, i promise you all this. But I did want to apologize in advance for any delay, it is just me running this so thank you for the understanding ♡
3. I hope you all know the amount of restraint i engage to not yap essays in the tags because everyone's contributions are so, so wonderful and I'm so happy everyone is enjoying & having fun with this event already! 🥺💖
couldn't resist and decided to try to participate in nirashiya week. good news is that text for day 1 is already posted (and even almost on time); bad news is that that was literally all I've written, so I don't know if I will be able to post anything for any other days👉👈
so, nirashiya midwinter week, day 1: Recovery.
Niragi didn't think that he was lonely.
But seeing Chishiya was making the breathing easier. Bound by the trauma or something.
Or, about recovering your life after the meteorite.
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
please be aware that the text is in Russian, though I plan on translating it someday. also, it seems I cannot, for the life of me, make the posts pretty.

“Do I look like a monster?” Niragi asked.
After a minute of silence, he thought that maybe the man next to him, regardless of his previous complaining, had finally fallen asleep. But then he heard a raspy whisper.
“Define a monster.”
“Oh, you know, the classics… ugly, scary, absolutely warped, sick son of a bitch. Something along with that.”
“Do you feel that way?” A simple question, really… so why would his brain get entangled in the cycle every time he tried to ask it himself? Why would the air get stuck in his lungs when he heard it now?
“After the moment my heart stopped…” Why? “I’m not really sure if I feel anything.”
Because asked by somebody else, it felt…
“Do you think monsters feel emptiness, then?” the stranger added.
Too real.

Summary:
“ Either help, or we both die here. “ Niragi’s words aren’t a bluff ; he will kill them both so long as he doesn’t go down alone.
Chishiya’s lips press together in a firm line with cruel disinterest. “ Who says I won’t let that happen? “
Niragi makes a horrid laughing noise between his hacking coughs, like Chishiya’s told the funniest joke he’s heard in a while. “ Because it’s you. Even if you don’t give a shit about living – despite what your little homemade bomb might indicate – you’ll still want to win. To see what happens. “ He sneers, blood and saliva dripping from his lips. “ You can’t stand to lose. “

Or: A very tentative moment of recovery with Chishiya and Niragi after an encounter with the King of Spades
The house stands, black and empty, nestled between its hills. Somehow its dark is gentler than the night around it. Pebbles crunch beneath his feet; approaching the heavy iron gate is simple muscle memory. The gate’s shadow is soft like lace. The lock clicks open for him with oiled ease even as his heart thuds in his ears. The stairs are slippery, his legs heavy, as he climbs for the solid wooden door.
Chishiya is alone.
Niragi is not psychic. Chishiya is not lonely. The house is not malevolent.
Chapter one (out of three) of Journey's End is up here for @nirashiyaweek.
