So I've called at a potential client to add some sockets to a room "can I check your consumer unit to see if you have an RCD"? "Yeah of course you can it's brand new I have 2 of them"!! so no bonding to gas and meter tails going through separate holes!!! This is a dangerous install due to electromagnetic currents that could potentially cause a fire all mains cables should go through the same hole!!!! So you still haven't had your electrical system checked?? How long before a fire breaks out?? Got called out to a job on Saturday customer had smelt burning and switched off the MCB. Luckily not caught fire but very nearly. Whoever installed this MCB had not correctly mounted it on the copper bus bar!!!!
