“I am deeply connected to the science and alchemy of the creation of glass. From the process of mixing the raw elements to make custom glasses from scratch as well as the mixing of rare noble gasses to create otherworldly effects. I like to imagine the pieces as being artifacts from a lost advanced civilization or the engine of a futuristic spaceship. They emit small fields of wireless energy and are truly magical and nearly beyond understanding. These glass sculptures are reaction vessels for the excitation and ionization of very specific combinations of gasses that must be processed under a vacuum pump so we essentially have to create the vacuum of space or a close as we can get to that before adding in small amounts of noble gasses. The pieces are permanently sealed with these gasses inside and will light up and have interactive effects whenever they are excited by a high voltage power source.”
