Found this weird bug on my cat…

Made some spindle whorls yesterday, from a book of Anglo-Saxon glass beads. Most spindle whorls were pewter, soapstone, or bone, but there are artifacts like these that we're reasonably sure were spindle whorls.

Balancing such a large blob of glass is actually pretty difficult, not to mention the heat rolling off an inch wide blob of red hot glass, but it's a fun little challenge.
