alec watched him as he just stared at him weirdly. did he always do this? maybe he didn’t get many people talking to him. he seemed a bit surprised. “yeah..” he said. “working on a case or something?” he asked a bit interested. sometimes cases could lead to a downworlder attack and they don’t even realize.

J A E H Y U N raised an eyebrow as the other asked if he was working on a case “ I mean yeah that’s my job, but I don’t think I can tell you anything about it “ he responded and then looked away.

“I hear you,” Tim nodded. “You a detective?” he asked, nodding towards the place from where he’d exited. “You’ve got your work cut out for you in a place like this.” And it wasn’t like vigilantes like him made it any easier, but he did what he had to.

It took a tired detective to know a tired detective, and the other needed the fresh cup of coffee more than Tim did–he had an energy drink in his backpack anyway. He offered the other a sympathetic smile and offered him the cup. “Rough one, huh?”

T U R N I N G his head he looked at the cup wondering if he should actually take it or N O T. He didn’t want to owe the other anything but reluctantly took the cup “ Thanks and yeah having a rough one today “

“i know that feeling,” alec said hearing that all too familiar sigh. he did it almost every day, there was always something wrong.  he looked him “long day then?” he noticed the detective badge and he took a wild guess. he was no luke or else he’d know about that one but anyone that protected mundanes was good in his book. “i’m taking a break myself.”

T H E voice startled him slightly and he looked up at the male, he had no idea who he was and W O N D E R E D why he was speaking to him. Jaehyun was never too keen on strangers randomly speaking to him but he didn’t S A Y anything or showed he was annoyed. He just kept his B L A N K expression in place “ Yeah something like that “

I T was sometimes almost impossible to get a break when things were busy in the D E T E C T I V E department even more so for jaehyun as he tried to keep himself as busy as possible. He didn’t exactly hate it but his body did as it demanded F O O D and most of all sleep which was something that the young man couldn’t get. He hasn’t been able to S L E E P for years. For some odd reason jaehyun managed to get himself a few minutes break so he stepped outside from the department and sat on a bench letting out a deep S I G H, he was exhausted.
