The End Is Near

This semester flew by so fast. There is now 3 weeks left and I’m more stressed now than I have been the whole semester. The next 3 weeks will be back to back to back tests, and I have just started a new job. Thankfully, clinicals are just about over. It was a good experience but I’m glad I no longer have to give up my friday and Sunday nights. Even though this semester was (EXTREMELY) stressful I feel pretty good about how it’s ending. Looking towards the summer semester and new beginnings. Three more semesters until nursing school is over!!!

Spring Is Here

Spring is here!! 🌷🌈The warmer weather makes me more hopeful and more than ready for the semester to be over. It’s getting down to the wire; there’s one test left in each class and then the final. I’m a little panicked because there’s not much more opportunity to bring my grade up, but I’m hopeful that I’ll get though the semester unscathed.

Is It Over Yet?

Halfway through the first semester and I’m ready to be done! I’m really excited to register for the upcoming semester. It always feels like getting ready for a new start when I plan for new semesters, and it makes me even more motivated to finish the current one. Just hoping I finish strong…

Feeling Like A Nurse

I am loving clinical so far! Doing so much more than I thought I would first semester in clinical; Sub q injections, IM injections, wound cleaning and dressings. Practicing the skills on actual patients makes nursing school feel more real than just taking tests and studying.

Expectation vs. Reality

All last semester I told myself how easy nusring school is. Anyone who said nursing school was their “whole life” or said they had “no time for anything else” was just over dramatic in my mind. I now have 2 tests this week that I am not prepared for, 2 more tests next week that I am also not prepared for, and a 6 hour care plan to do every weekend in between clinicals, work, studying, and trying to keep some semblance of a social life. I’m 4 weeks into this semester😰….I regret anything I ever said about nursing school being easy
