Made a little rotoscope of the dogs playing :) Turned out cute, I'll have to make more!
(Did this in 2025… finally only assembling into an animation now, oops!)

Here’s my belated round-up of January Hobonichi pages – how are we over 2 months into 2026 already!
Ssrin at the turtle buffet! What an opening scene for a book!
Ssrin is from Seth Dickinson's si-fi novel Exordia
Got the lines down on something 👀
I'm gonna scan the final illustration today, but for now here's a pic of her part way through!

December hobonichi pages! A busy month with a rush of work action before the holidays, then lots of family and friends fun. I think in 2026 I’ll actually fill the remaining pages of this book!
First pic is the chunk of my Hobonichi Techno that is 2025 pages - will 2026 be the year I fill it up?!
here's a compilation of my terrier-thing Lenny! Capable of great cuteness and even greater mischief!
here's a compilation of my favourite Hobonichi pages featuring my bestest girl, Boo!
Here’s my round-up of November “most-days daily drawings”! Including a healthy dose of undead creatures, quite a few quotes, and green onions – because sometimes when you don’t know what to draw a food item you love is the easiest thing. Oh, and some eagles and their nest, a page I thought was going pretty well until my yellow pen exploded 🙂↕️
Like many others, I really enjoyed del Toro’s take on Frankenstein in his new movie! This is my attempt at the Creature… painting a sullen face that's a patchwork of different coloured corpses is tricky, but fun!
October Hobonichi pages! Pretty spotty and inconsistent, but still better than nothing. Really should have done more spooky-Halloween-y type drawings!
Pages from September! Highlights: lots of good media between Buffy (first time watching), Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (slowly re-watching), the Hades II game full release (I was playing since the early access), and seeing The Lion King (beautiful, inspiring, magical). With a sprinkling of dog drawings as well, of course!
Putting a sketchbook I made years ago (and have barely touched!) to use by sketching portraits from Priscilla Queen of the Desert. I enjoyed using conte on the bright paper, will need to do more!
A collection of gestures from the first time I’ve done life drawing in about… 7 years? They were fast poses, mostly one or two minutes, some 5 minutes. It was challenging – but fun!
August had a rough start – I didn’t do a single page until the 16th! But strong ending. Now to keep up the momentum!
Clearly the medium of the month was ✨ gel pens ✨
