Trainspotting
How much earlier did you arrive to get a good spot(it's my first concert alone)
Usually they let everyone in at a certain time, like the gates open at 8. So technically it doesnât matter how early you arrive, you are let in at the same time as everyone else. However, to be in the first 1/3 of the line (meaning you are one of the first groups to be let in) I suggest arriving 2 hours ahead of time to make sure you are in the front.
And now I will elaborate on the process (lol)
So usually there is a shitty warm-up band and that means that people arenât very interested in finding a good spot in the crowd, or some people are drinking at the bar. So, use that to your advantage to find a good place while everyone else is wandering around.
If you are small like me and are going alone to the front of the crowd, just be careful that you donât get trampled. Because if this is music that people like to slam dance to, you might get trampled or hit pretty badly. (Because it got SO CRAZY) I ended up moving to the back of the crowd later on. Make sure you are around peaceful music-loving people and not some assholes who want to hit everyone in the crowd.
Also, if for any reason you didnât get a good spot, donât be afraid to push your way through the crowd. No one will hurt you for doing such and they canât do anything about it. If they lay a hand on you in an aggressive manner with intent to hurt you, go to security and they will be escorted out of the crowd. Even though that sounds like a stupid thing to do, you are preventing them from hurting you or anyone else, and if they went to the concert for a fight and not the music, they donât deserve to be there anyway.
If someone threatens you, just blow it off, people get drunk and are all talk. I got threatened like 3 times last night, lol.
Also, buy merch before the show when no one is buying it so you can avoid a long line and get the stuff you want before it is sold out.
Make friends and have fun! Most people there are super nice and are fans and love the music just like you.
That is my advice :D
Great show :D
