I was as hollow and empty as the spaces between the stars.
Raymond Chandler, The Long Goodbye (via wordsnquotes)
I’ve always loved you, and when you love someone, you love the whole person, just as he or she is, and not as you would like them to be.
Leo Tolstoy, Anna Karenina (via wordsnquotes)
We spoke endlessly about everything and nothing. Now, I cannot even remember the sound of your voice.
Michael Faudet, Dirty Pretty Things (via wordsnquotes)
I barely noticed loneliness anymore; it was my normal condition, by necessity if not by nature.
Rachel Hartman (via quotemadness)

Oswaldo Guayasamin
When my absence doesn’t alter your life, then my presence has no meaning in it.
Unknown (via wordsnquotes)
I love you—I do—but I am afraid of making that love too important. Because you’re always going to leave me. We can’t deny it. You’re always going to leave.
David Levithan, Every Day (via wordsnquotes)
was I hard to love or just easy to leave?
ten word story // #09 (via lives-in-10)
For a long time, I thought I was running from a monster. I was right. Only the monster was never behind me, it was inside of me. It was me.

I’m not fascinated by people who smile all the time. What I find interesting is the way people look when they are lost in thought, when their face becomes angry or serious, when they bite their lip, the way they glance, the way they look down when they walk, when they are alone and smoking a cigarette, when they smirk, the way they half smile, the way they try and hold back tears, the way when their face says they want to say something but can’t, the way they look at someone they want or love… I love the way people look when they do these things. It’s… beautiful.
Unknown (via wordsnquotes)
I hate the idea of lonely. And I hate the reality of attachment.
Reyna Biddy (via wordsnquotes)
