#god. can I just. get real emotional on this blog that hardly anyone looks at for a second.#I first got this album when I was severely depressed #this is an extremely bad album to get when severely depressed. most of the songs are far too heavy #it feels much heavier than the rest of his work. not sure if that's just because of my mental state at the time or what #but at some point I was listening to it in my car and some song on this album made me have a full fucking spiral #so I decided to put it away until I was better #that was... I think 7 years ago now #7 years this album has sat in my library and I've looked at it kinda with trepidation ever since #(I see it a lot bc it starts with A. top of the albums list :/ )#anyway. I am doing much better now #and with climbing out of the pit I'm finding a bravery that I never had before #so I'm engaging with media that I previously deemed “too scary” (e.g. some horror movies)#and I had already listened to an album that I had previously deemed “too heavy” just a few months ago (the acretongue one)#so I decided to give this one a spin again. carefully #and.#this song????#this song is on there?????#and I was just not listening before??????#I CLOSE THE DOOR.
