I get questions on this a lot, so I’m making this post - I’ll link it in my about me post as well

he liked JKR‘s transphobic tweet and only unliked it after backlash

- he called JKR’s work “genius” when there are very problematic themes in the Harry Potter books and her other books

- he made this “apology video” but in that, he straight up admitted he was racist “Colored people are the spice of the world but I don’t like spicy food.” (It was something along those lines, I can’t remember exactly)

- he read NSFW fanfics on his live, knowing most of his fans are minors (11-13 years old)

- He writes songs about Emma Watson (16 year old Hermione). Considering he’s an adult now, that’s incredibly creepy. He’s kinda obsessed with her, and posts picture with her for clout

- Condones toxic relationships and people - he often shows support to Dramione and Draco Malfoy

- bodyshamed his exes and compared their naked bodies

- Also, he still hangs onto a role he played like, 20 years ago?? Because that was his only fame I guess. This point isn’t particularly problematic but I just find it odd.

His obsession with Emma Watson hasn't stopped either. Even now that Emma is in a happy relationship he was asked in an interview if they were friends and instead of saying "yeah we are still good friends" Like every single normal person he said "we are something".

1-

hardcore hp cannon ships fans scare me. i literally heard one comparing fannon shippers with parents doing arrange marriages, wtf

yes, i do think ron and harry could have ended up together, and yes, i like them together more than romione or hinny. it doesn’t mean that i’m gonna engage my child with someone they don’t love, cuz yk, one thing is FICTIONAL, and the other one is REAL

also, if we’re applying that logic then jkr is also into arranged marriages, cuz she created characters and paired them up with other characters without asking them if they actually love them (ik it sounds ridiculous, but that’s how these ppl sound like)

2-

when i say i like fannon couples i don’t mean couples that give a redemption to shitty characters through a good character bcs they are “hot” *coff coff* dramione/drarry *coff coff* or couples that had one to zero good interactions but are shipped bcs they are two males *coff coff* blairon*coff coff*. when i say i like fannon couples i mean that i like couples that actually had good interactions with each other (ronarry, ginmione, linny, deamus, etc), and before someone comes at me with me shipping linny, they are canonically friends and canonically ginny defended her of her bullies. and before someone comes at me for shipping wolfstar, they are also canonically friends.

however, i do get that ppl love the enemies to lovers (i love it too) but some of the ships mentioned above are NOT enemies to lovers, it’s just abuser/victim or just pure fetishization. in my case if i wanted an enemies to lovers, i could hc harry a slytherin and make ron “hate” him bcs of that, or make them have a bad first interaction with some kind of miscommunication or smth like that.

i’m gonna get this clear, ship whatever u want, i couldn’t care less as long as is not pedophilic or incest, u do u, i’m just ranting about things that bother me, that’s all.

It annoys me when some hardcore Romione shippers say Ron would never be attracted to harry romantically because his type is only Hermione because first off, Ron was into other girls that weren't Hermione, even though it wasn't serious. The way some of them put it makes it seem like Ron could never be attracted to someone who isn't Hermione for their personality. Second, of course Hermione's the only one he was seriously attracted to! Did you expect Ron to get into a (rather) serious relationship with, I dunno, Padma Patil, then realize she wasn't for him? No. Then there would be huge ship wars, and Ron/Padma shippers would actually have a lot of evidence for their ship, and Rowling probably didn't want that.

Ron could've been attracted to Harry, maybe he would have been attracted if Rowling was brave enough to make her characters part of the LGBT+ Community. I love Romione, but I love Ronarry too and this really annoys me. This isn't meant to be an anti Romione post. You can take this as a rant on those (^) kind of people.

I'm gonna say it guys.

The founding basis for remadora might have been inherently homophobic (pushing a man in a hetero seeming relationship to stop the gay fanfic), but tell you what. Us remadora shippers, we acknowledge. that. shit. I agree with some of y'all wolfstar shipper points, remadora has it's flaws, but you also have to realize that not all of us ship something just because it represents us somehow. We may ship it because of the dynamics, because of the tropes, because of the cute stuff.

But you all must understand that a fandom space is meant to be ENJOYED. Remadora *did* at first seem a bit homophobic to me, but I really loved the dynamic and BATB (beauty and the beast) trope! So we, as a fandom, have come forward to try and rectify those issues. Bi-coded Remus, Pan/bi-coded non-binary/genderfluid Tonks...... Its all just a small try from us to rectify J. K's fuck ups

We ship it, because we see the potential in this ship, and work forward to have it reach that potential. We actively do our parts to rectify those very prevalent fuck ups (remus needing therapy, hate given to both of them, ted and andromeda's hypothetical reluctance, you name it, we got it).

But we can't do that if someone with opposing views keeps coming up with bullshit points and try to make us feel inferior to them (remadora homophobic..... How??????? The fandom has largely ACCEPTED them both as bi or pan AND has fics with Tonks and her fluid identity)

This is in no way a wolfstar bash rant. This is yet another rant from a person who is fed up of being called homophobic. Again

You wanna ship wolfstar? Cool! You wanna ship Remadora? Also cool! You think they both could've existed in the same timeline? Hell yeah buddy! But all this small crumb fandom asks of you, is to stop shoving up hateful comments up our butt, and keep on getting in our space to say things that are OBVIOUSLY against it.

Be a decent human being. Please. Neither do we ask for Remadora hate, or Wolfstar hate, OR BLACKINNON HATE FOR THAT FUCKING MATTER (so what if Marlene was a small character in a photo? Even better for some of us! She is free fandom property to be interpreted by the viewer's eyes without any, ANY restrictions)

I dont really care if you use the term bisexual or pansexual, but what i DO care about is that you understand that bisexuality at NO stage in history was EVER trans-exclusionary. Bisexuality has always included trans folks, and non-binary folks, and the entire spectrum of gender between male and female, as well as Definitively Gender and agender. It has ALWAYS meant "attraction to more than one gender." It has NEVER meant "attraction to cis men and women only."

So, pan, bi, use whichever label you will. But do NOT buy into the recent-years innacurate concept that bisexuality is attraction to cis men and women only, because thats literally never been the case.
