*Kris sucks air through their teeth(as quietly as possible) and copies papyrus's gesture*

[Ralsei follows after them. While speedwalking, he begins speaking once more]

[this cloak was not made for almost running in. Ralsei trips, falling on his face]

*Papyrus rushes over to help the stranger up*

*Kris smiles a bit at this. But spares a worried glance at the fountain in the distance. It's only barely visible above the bony clifs.*

[Ralsie is helped up. He wonders if perhaps he should just take his cloak off… but the idea of facing them without it intimidates him]

We… should probably wait until the other hero of the prophecy arrives for me to tell my tale anyway.

*Kris slows down slightly. She isn't going to show up randomly at a skeleton's house, right? But everything is broken. so anything can happen...*

ALRIGHT THEN! WE’VE GOT TIME! (I THINK)

[Ralsei catches up to Kris]

*And yet, Kris does not stop, silently letting the other two follow behind*

*A long stretch of boards make a walkway through the carpet grass. the roof or ceiling (whatever you would call the top of the dark world) has stalactites of trash, like gnarled roots penetrating into a moist cavern.. There is a small... village? up ahead. houses made of pieces of the floor and trash roots neatly cut for roofs. Palm trees made of fabric with feather fronds sway in the breeze, letting out strange thwumping noises. It's coastal. A large body of salt water has a few fishing vessels hovering around it's docks. Various darkeners pull up coin-fish from the briney depths. across the "sea" sits the hills and on the hills, A racetrack on stilts is seen in the distance, but it's dwarfed by a larger music theater that the fountain spills out of the top of. The theater bears a skull and bones insignia on it's front. It's at the highest hill in the land; Spotlights illuminate the ceiling in a regular pattern. the sound of dripping water is almost rhythmic. it smells musty and salty.*

It's ok.

OH LOOK!

*Papyrus points to the racecar on the hill*

THAT MUST BE MY BEDROOM!

Ah, that it is!

[Ralsei stops. He senses something. He looks up. Seems like something is approaching rapidly]

Oh—

[Susie falls on top of Ralsei, probably stabbing him with her clothing spikes.]

OOF!

[She sits up, looking around at her surroundings before glancing down at Ralsei.]

…oh hey goatboy. thanks for breaking my fall.

*the shenanigans finally slow Kris. They stifle a chuckle. Kris silently nods.

OH DEAR! ARE YOU OKAY, STRANGER?

AND WHO ARE YOU, PURPLE REPTILIAN GIRL??

[once Susie falls on him, Ralsei lets out an “oof” sound. After a moment, he gets up and brushes himself off, at which point he notices the state his cloak is in]

Oh no! My cloak! Your spikey clothing must have torn it up when you fell on me, Susie!

[Susie stands and brushes herself off, then looks up at Papyrus.]

[She switches her attention to Ralsei.]

I… suppose you’re right. It’s not very good to run in, anyway. [He takes the cloak off, revealing his fluffy self underneath, still cloaked in shadows due to his hat]

Anyway, um… Hello Susie! It is ever so wonderful to meet you.

I suppose I should properly introduce myself now. I am Ralsei, the prince of darkness!

Kris, Susie… I truly believe you are the HEROES of the PROPHECY.

[Susie waves to Papyrus.]

*Kris tilts their head towards the village in an invitation for susie to follow. After all. There's a pretty big ocean between here and the boney hills with the race track and the only boats are at the town.*

*Papyrus looks in the direction* WOW! THAT LOOKS LIKE FUN! I’LL COME WITH YOU!

*he starts walking in that direction*

Oh, I…. I suppose we could get going…

*The town seems unfriendly. Most buildings close their blinds as the intrepid heroes approach. The sound of locking doors follows you. It looks like some of the buildings have parts of them rebuilt from some sort of attack. In one of the windows, a glowing eye narrows and follows the group before the blinds swiftly close shut. Only one building has it's windows open, and a strange musty smell wafts from the inerior*

Well, here we are. Where would you like to go, Kris?

*Kris opens the lone door without closed blinds. A sock-puppet looking darkener stops in her track. When she turns her snoot flops a bit as if to accentuate her movement. Sticky notes line the bottom half of her in the rough approximation of a skirt. She puts the half broken tea cup she is holding down and gives a big grin at our heroes.*

Visitors! I never get visitors anymore! Aside from the mathmooks, but Nobody likes the Mathmooks. Do you need some tea or-or a smoked fish or.. maybe a pistacioshell clam? I don't have much else, I wasn't expecting visitors, oh gosh! *The sock woman scrambles to get her decrepit chairs ready for her surprise guests in a hospitality-driven frenzy*

[Susie walks in after Kris and glances around the room. The inside of the house is so dusty she immediately sneezes the moment she’s inside.]

[Ralsei follows behind Kris]

*The darkener is mortified. she rushes over to her run-down cupboards. OH my Goodness It's such a mess, I really should have cleaned up! Let me look for a duster. Do I have one? Ohh you're going to think I'm so messy...

*Kris pays no heed to the sock woman practically tearing apart her run-down house and sits in a partly broken chair. it squeaks under the weight.*
