I think I’m literally never gonna be sick of this masterpiece. I think watching it on a loop for eight hours could fix me. Dancing’s what clears my soul. Dancing’s what makes me whole.
I just love that this very video is an accumulation of thousands of years worth of art made by people who have never met each other. The concept of this video was so completely unfathomable to every single artist who made the sculptures and yet they’ve all put something toward the creation of it.
Agnes: Enid, Enid its okay your back, and your safe
Enid: *taking deep breaths looks around* Where am I? *notices goth motifs and a room twice the size as the one at Nevermore* Is-is this Wednesday’s room?
Agnes: Yes, Wednesday believed this would be the safest place for you
Enid: *notices an IV in her arm* What's going on?
Agnes: Wednesday figured out a way to return you to human but it's going to leave you weak for a little while
Enid: *frowns* Why are you the one explaining this to me? Wednesday would never pass on the chance to explain her brilliance. What aren't you telling me?!
Agnes: *swallows* There was an equal exchange that had to take place in order to make you human again, Wednesday didn't tell us until she had already started the process
Enid: Where is she?
Agnes: She's perfectly safe but you need to rest, you can visit her later
Enid yanks out the IV and screams, Agnes rushes to apply a bandage around the bleeding area
Agnes: Enid, you don't have your werewolf healing right now, please don't do anything like that again
Enid: *gritting her teeth* Why don't I have my healing
Agnes: *swallows* because at the moment you are not a werewolf
Enid: *holds up a hand and tries to extend her claws* Take me to her right now or I will drag myself around this entire, I assume castle, bleeding as I go until I find her goth ass so she can speak for herself!
Morticia: Of course, you are completely welcome to visit my daughter, it may be just the thing to improve her spirits
Enid: Mrs. Addams I didn't see you
Morticia: I just arrived to check with Agnes on your condition, and I would describe it as more as a fortress than a castle
. . .
Morticia: *pushing Enid in a wheelchair* It's fortunate you woke when you did, we just finished having the dungeon renovated for wheelchair access, we should have done it years ago
Enid: Dungeon? Why is Wednesday in a dungeon?
Morticia: You didn't tell her?
Agnes: I hadn't gotten to it
Morticia: Probably best you see for yourself, we are in the process of building a large outdoor structure but for the time being Wednesday believed this was the best short term solution
They arrive at a large stone door and Morticia removes two boards barring entry
Morticia: The adjustment has taken its toll on her so she may not be in the best mood
Morticia rolls Enid into a room housing a large cell, there are the signs of ornate decoration but most of furniture that must have been in it has been removed and lines the wall outside it
Enid squints and sees a large black mass rise in a corner and slowly approach the front. A large black wolf snorts as i sticks its snout through the bars and sniffs at Enid
Enid: . . . Wednesday is, is that really you?
Wednesday Wolf: *rolls her eyes as only she could as a wolf*
Enid: Why did she do this?? Now she's just trapped instead of me
Morticia: I can only guess at my daughter's motivations, she carried out most of it on her own without consulation until she had already set it in motion
Wednesday Wolf: *looks at Morticia and let's out a short growl*
Morticia: I believe she felt quite guilty for putting you in the position she did and wished to see you restored as soon as possible
Enid: *stares into Wednesday's eyes* Could I speak with her alone, if that isn't a problem there are just things I want to tell her, not that I don't trust you
Morticia: Think nothing of it, there's a chain around your neck it has a button. At any time you need to rest or need anything I or someone else will be here
Enid waits until she hears the door shut then wheels herself as close to the bars as possible
Wednesday Wolf: *eyes her as if examining her*
Enid: Soooo this is kind of awkward I'm not sure what to say I mean thank you but
Wednesday Wolf: *huffs*
Enid: *nervous, changing topic* Your smaller then I thought you would be
Wednesday Wolf: *growls then turns and returns to a large dog bed*
Enid: I didn't mean it like that! I just meant average size for a werewolf your not alpha sized
Wednesday Wolf faces away from her and doesn't react
Enid: Don't be like that! Look obviously I'm so thankful you kept your promise but you took my wolf. That's part of me and and even if you saved me it means I'm still not with you.
Wednesday Wolf: *remains silent*
Enid: Oh your just going to give me the silent treatment?! That's so mature of you!
When Wednesday continues to ignore her Enid looks around for something to throw but sees an old ring of keys
Reaching out to the bars for stability she shakily pulls herself from the chair a reaches for the ring
Hearing old keys clatter together Wednesday Wolf jolts up and begins to snarl
Enid: Oh now you're paying attention? It seems the only time you notice me is when I'm in danger
Wednesday Wolf: *approaches still snarling hackles raised*
Enid: *shoves the key in the lock begins to turn* I'm coming in and if you decide to eat me, well that's just what's going to happen
Pushing the door open Enid steps in with great effort and Wednesday Wolf backs away
As Enid steps past the entry way the gate snaps shut behind and the keys are ejected from the lock
Enid feels her legs give out from under her and Wednesday Wolf rushes forward to provide Enid support
Enid: I'm fine just a little tired
Wednesday Wolf helps Enid to the corner and let's her lean on her
Enid: This isn't how I imagined getting into bed with you . . . not that is something I've ever thought about
Wednesday Wolf: *huffs and looks away*
Enid: I don't remember much from my time stuck as an alpha I didn't have many moments when I was me but I remember missing you and I remember being proud that I saved you . . .
Wednesday Wolf: *looks at Enid then rests her head on the ground*
Enid sitting against Wednesday puts a hand on the back of her head, when she doesn't object Enid strokes her fur
Enid: *begins to sniffle* I don't know what I'm supposed to do, everything just happened so fast I'm so happy to see but I'm also angry at you, my family, my wolf just everything and most of all I'm tired
Enid looks at Wednesday whose ears are raised listening
Enid: I just wish you were here so you could tell me what I should do
As if on command Wednesday Wolf slowly gets up letting Enid get her balance
Enid: *wiping away a tear* Sure I start getting vulnerable and you need to leave, you do you I guess
Wednesday Wolf walks over to a wall and paws at it until a a brick falls away. Using her teeth she retrieves a book and circles back to Enid
Enid: What's this? Is it for me?
Wednesday Wolf drops it in front of her then squeezes back behind her to lean on
Enid picks up the leather bound journal and sees her name embossed on the front. Opening the book she notices a quarter of the first pages have been torn out then looks to the first written page
Wednesday: Dear Enid, if you are reading this then my plan has been a success at least in turning you back
Enid: *pauses to look at Wednesday and pats her head*
Wednesday: it also means you have made the foolish decision to enter the cell with me. As I write this I don't know how I will react. I have been practicing meditation techniques. I hope not to tear you apart for squandering the gift of my humanity
Enid: *snorts* Yeah you definitely wrote this
Wednesday: That being said I am glad you have returned to yourself and I did not hesitate in my actions. When I found you . . . You were not yourself, you either did not recognize me or were so consumed by rage at my own foolish actions. I could not bear to leave you in that state for a moment longer than necessary
Enid: *looks at Wednesday* I could never hate you, angry sure but not hate
Wednesday Wolf: *releases and almost silent whimper*
Enid: *strokes her head and continues reading*
Wednesday: I feared that any longer in your alpha form without socialization that there may be no coming back. You are strong in many ways but I prepared myself for a life alone. I believe I am better suited to bearing this weight
Enid: I wouldn't have asked you to do that . . . but I am grateful you did
Wednesday: To swap conditions I negotiated a deal with Rosaline Rotwood. I remembered my transformation during our swap. You do not have to worry about a time limit, though you may feel considerably weaker for a time
Enid: Okay so you did like a swap but why?
Wednesday Wolf: *looks back and rolls her eyes*
Enid: Right you can't talk sorry
Wednesday: No doubt you have already noticed and commented on the difference in our statures
Enid: Hey you're really not that small I swear!
Wednesday Wolf: *huffs*
Wednesday: You may remember even when I changed in your body I only achieved the size of an average werewolf. I believe this is because the alpha nature is somehow intrinsically tied to you as a person
Enid: Wait you really think I'm alpha?
Wednesday Wolf: *snorts*
Wednesday: I have no means of explaining why even if it does not make logical sense
Enid: Hey! Bad girl! I mean friend, Wednesday!
Wednesday: I suspect the same will be true when you inherit my abilities, it is highly unlikely you will become a raven
Enid: I'm going to start getting visions?
Wednesday Wolf: *stares at her*
Enid: Right keep reading
Wednesday: I understand that this must be overwhelming and suggest you discuss the matter with my mother before deciding how to proceed forward
Enid: Proceed forward?
Wednesday Wolf: *looks away*
Wednesday: I have made options available for you. I do not know how your family will react to your change but I have set up intermediaries if you wish to reach out to them
Enid: My family?! Who hunted me?! No thank you!
Wednesday: I understand this may be an unpalatable choice so I have prepared other options. Agnes currently possesses a number of false documents, cash and other assets. Bianca and Yoko would likely be able to aid you in creating a new identity. You may start over somewhere new if you wish
Enid sets down the book and stares at Wednesday Wolf
Enid: *quiet for a moment* Did you really think I would just abandon you and start over likely nothing happened?
Wednesday Wolf: *head down looking away*
Enid: No, look at me *gently takes Wednesday's snout pointing it towards her* You are my pack, that means no matter how much you infuriate me, or disappoint, me or anything else I will not leave you . . . At least that's what it means to me
Enid sits silently for a moment before picking the book back up
Wednesday: If you choose to stay, I can promise you will have a place here for as long as you want it. I can make no promises about how this condition will effect me. There was a cost to this that I do not wish to discuss in this manner. All I can say is I hope you will stay for as long as you can bare me. I will understand if that changes I want you to know that I
As Enid begins to turn the page Wednesday Wolf jumps up unexpectedly causing her to fall backwards feeling as if the the wind had been knocked out of her Wednesday Wolf snatches the book from her hands
Enid lays on the bed for a moment gasping trying to catch her breath Wednesday Wolf approaches and noses at her whimpering
Enid: *breath slowly returns to normal* I'm- I'm okay, I'm okay, you just startled me
Enid pulls herself back into a sitting position and sees Wednesday Wolf has a paw firmly on the journal
Enid: *softly* If you don't want me to read anyone I promise I won't . . . but that's the last message I have from you. Could-could I at least keep it?
Wednesday Wolf looks at the book then at Enid then slowly removes her paw and passes it to her
When Enid accepts Wednesday Wolf whimpers a little then gently nuzzles her face
Enid: I'm okay I promise *laughs* at least take me on a date first
Wednesday Wolf: *stops*
Enid: I'm feeling a bit tired *yawns* I'm just going to lie down and rest my eyes for a minute
Wednesday Wolf lies down beside her and Enid nestles up to her
Enid: *as she falls asleep* I really am happy to have you back
. . .
Later
Wednesday Wolf awakens to a sound and looks up to see her mother looking in through the bars
Morticia: No need to get up, I wouldn't want to wake her
Wednesday Wolf sees Enid still asleep with an arm wrapped around her
Morticia: I just came to check on Enid, I had no doubt she would be in safe paws
Wednesday Wolf: *snorts*
Morticia: She will have to return to a proper bed soon so the nurse can check on her but I don't think a little while longer will cause harm
Wednesday Wolf: *lays her head back down*
Morticia: The construction of the outdoor enclosure is going ahead as scheduled. I must say however from the moment you brought her home I knew there would be nothing of heaven or hell that could tear you from her side willingingly
As Morticia turns to leave she pauses
Morticia: I don't think I've ever seen you happier then when you brought her home, I truly am happy for you. I just hope the bargain you struck does not come back to haunt you
Wednesday Wolf: *licks Enid's cheek then slowly drifts back to sleep*
Enid watches her leaves then pulls out her phone and goes live
Enid: Hey pack! Insane update I might be going on my first official date with my bestie/roomie. Help me pick out an outfit that will impress a goth on a first date! But one that will also be cool and comfortable if I'm murdered in it and have to wear it as a ghost.
