The wood toys are coming back into fashion for our kids as we tend to go back to the simpler things, in a belief that these toys are safer for our little ones. Other than that, they carry a very appealing vintage look!

How nice is it to be able to go out dressed up a little lightly these days? Not only for us but for our little ones as well!! Isn't such a delight to rediscover their little arms in sweet short sleeve tops? Plus, the hussle of having to dress them up with several layers plus the hat and the gloves can be forgotten about (well let's hope so), until next year!

1 Year and a thousand feelings!

As my baby turns 1 today, I can't help it but look at the year that has passed with great emotion... One year ago, our life changed in a way we would had never imagined it would. A little creature, we have created (still can't wrap my head around that!!) started rocking our world with her eyes gazing at us and at the world, her cries that were scary at first and that little by little we have managed to understand (well for the most part), her first smiles, her first laughs, her hugs, and well everything that she shares with us day by day...

In only one year, so many has changed and here is a short list of what being a parent does to you :-):

1) Going to sleep after 10pm, is just not an option

2) As is forgeting your watch....

3) Planning a spontaneous weekend getaway is a long gone souvenir

4) Being a slow eater and actually taking time to taste your meal becomes close to impossible

5) Clearing your head of all thoughts, also impossible, as you will always have the little one on your mind

6) You are on-call 24/7

7) You check the weather forecast every week as if your life depended on it... Days can be very long at home when raining outside....

8) Finding time to wash your hair can turn to mission impossible... So thankful for dry shampoo

9) You may forget to answer a text, or two....

10) and lastly, you will always feel like something is missing when not with your child, you didn't even know you were incomplete before this lttle creature came around.

This year, the best gift ever!

The Mini Bag - Mom's Next Big Thing

If you are still one of those moms who refuse to surrender to the fact that carrying your bag as well as the diaper bag is just one too many ( and you'll guess obviously which ones gets tossed away ;-)) than you'll be happy to find out (or maybe remind yourself.... from the times you actually cared about fashion...) that mini-bags are a Hit since a few seasons now, and who said that we can't mix practicality and style?!

Mini bags have soo many advantages when you are a mom and these are the two most important ones in my opinion:

1) They allow you to carry your baby, the diaper bag and your essentials without breaking your back (too much...)

2) They leave you no choice than to make a selection of what you really NEED to carry around versus having your whole house packed....

A Mommy's Essential...

...The dry shampoo!!

I am sure that all you mommies out there hear me when I say that being able to wash your hair when you have a baby/toddler at home can come close to mission impossible... With a little one continuously on the move, exploring all parts of the house (and mostly the hazardeous parts...;-))taking its eyes off of him is just not an option.

When you have your cutipie sleeping after the bedtime routine it is possible that like me you will just find a way to be in bed as quickly as possible, thus possibly missing a shampoo, or two....

So this is what brings me to what I consider as one my top essentials: the dry shampoo.

I use the one by Klorane (you can find it in any pharmacy in France and Switzerland that is) which is really good, masks any sign of dirty hair while also adding a little volume (which doesn't hurt!!).

Regarding the second one pictured here, "Prêt-à-powder" by Bumble and Bumble, read an article on it in a magazine and I think I'll try it soon as it really looks amazing. Check the website!
