I know!! It’s probably just an art style thing but the way you masculinize black women feels a little disrespectful if you know what I mean? I know you’re not doing it on purpose and I’m saying this as a black girl myself, I just wanted to make you aware of the stereotyping surrounding black women and media making them masculine 🙏🏾🙏🏾 I’m not trying to attack you I just thought it was something you should be aware of!

i assume youre talking about the way i draw sierra and i kind of already hinted at the reason why in my rant about how td seems to portray women who are supposed to be strong still as like petite with no muscles but i feel like i should go more in depth

i mean sierra is like actually pretty strong in the show like she shows her abilities a lot, most people tend to forget that mostly cause they focus on the fact of how,, creepy she is to cody (rightfully so), she isnt the only non muscley woman i give muscles to

ive also draw leshawna different but i usually draw her as more fat because the show also doesnt allow characters to be plus sized without giving them an hourglass figure, i dont really draw her with muscles, in fact in my future au i tend to soften her out from her VERY offensive depiction in the show

but thats only an explanation of why i portray sierra the way i do, if you still see that as an issue i dont mind criticism on how to make sierra a less disrespectful depiction, youd know more than me

Valid explanation! Honestly I kiiinddaaa agree with the anon but again I understand what you’re going for! As a black girlie too it does upset me to see the girls portrayed as masculine, but I understand the fact that characters like Sierra who are in fact strong aren’t portrayed as such! Also the only thing I find offensive personally about Leshawna is that she is in fact a stereotype personality wise! But her design is not in fact offensive!! Idk who said that :((

Hey gang if you find yourself drawing a black woman and see that you’ve made them super masculine, take a step back and reevaluate why that is!! I’ve seen this a lot in the total drama fandom with the black female characters especially Sierra and LeShawna and it makes me as a black girl so uncomfortable
