School Project: Making a card set

Each set consists of four cards. My sets illustrates mythological creatures from different parts of the world.

I wanted my sets to work as single cards, but also as a complete four peice illustration.

This is the American set.

The cards were drawn with Copic markers.

School Project Part 1

We had to place our character in three different places. I had to place her, and her son, in Istanbul, and this is the first scene. I put them in a classic turkish candy store.

The first is made up of three colored pencils (Faber Castle Polychromos), the second is a monochrome (mostly) ink illustration (Winsor and Newton ink).

We picked an animal and an era and we had to make a paper doll to match.

So this is Gertrude, she is an English pig from 1872. She was a maid, and then she married a Duke.
