My canon: Neil is super weird, but in a way people don't expect and it catches them unaware. He will have a perfectly normal conversation with you and then you realise he doesn't ignore the first slice of bread of the loaf, uses it right after opening it to make a sandwich. He doesn't have a set way of replacing the toilet paper roll. He does sock-shoe-sock-shoe. He takes the peel of the banana off completely before eating it on the go. He unplugs the laptop yanking on the cable not the plug. He eats kiwis with the skin on like they're apples. He eats dry cereal then drinks a glass of milk.

Neil Josten is like an alien that has managed to blend in quite well with the humans but sometimes he does something that reminds you he's a martian

One of my favorite things about Neil was when he was questioning his sexuality. He looked at Nicky and Matt to see if his feelings towards them had changed to try and deduce if he was gay tm. Of course, he came to the conclusion that he’s pretty exclusively attracted to Andrew, but did he ever even think to look at the identical twin of the man he had just kissed? No, why would he do that. Like hmm, I enjoyed kissing this person, does someone who looks the same give me the same feelings? Never even crossed his mind. Of course he isn’t attracted to Aaron. That’s disgusting. This petty ass man will always have my heart.

The Kings men, chapter four

Okay i'm literally shaking posting this, i've been working on it for days i lost all objectivity about it.

Someone requested this scene when I asked for recommendations on an older post, so this is tkm chapter four:

"Andrew sprawled on the couch in the lounge while Kevin went ahead to change out. Neil hesitated, changed his mind and started after Kevin, and changed his mind again. He stood behind the couch, folding his arms across the back of it, and peered down at Andrew. Andrew had one arm folded under his head and the other draped over his eyes to block the light. 'One of these days you might as well practice with us,' Neil said."

This scene is so long I had to cut some parts (including the incredible "You let us run ourselves into the ground and clean up behind us. You play the game like you play life. That's why you're so good at it.").

Not to mention Andrew's height fear, one of my all-time favorite aftg quotes ("When you said you were afraid of heights, you were joking, right?" "Andrew, you can't be. What were you doing on the roof?" "Feeling." -tkm ch.5).

Update: I cut the (too long) comic into smaller images so that you can open it and have a better quality, hope it works!

Was going to spend this afternoon finally formatting TGR's file for release, but I am at New Address and all of my project files are at Old Address still. So is my final batch of pre-release fun facts. Guess we're winging it from what useless details I remember:

-TGR ended at 24 chapters, 12-12 split iirc -Took about 7 restarts over way too many months to finally lock in a first chapter I could move forward with. The original Chapter One now happens later. -Found the most perfect song for Jeremy but can't post it yet. Sent it to four friends at like 3am the other day because I needed them to agree with me ('twas unanimous) -This time 'round I *think* I only have 2 reference pics to share, but will wait a week or more to post 'em. Maybe when I update the tags on that last song (last two songs? Idk) -My notes for 3 are about 16pages long so far, so I will probably have to kms at some point this year to avoid actually writing it all out. On the bright side, 3 has had a title & an ending since last summer so I don't have to worry about those two points at least
