The rather risque photo was meant for her friends eyes; to show off the change of metal barbell to dainty rings in her skin. But it seemed Magnolia’s change of phones and one digit difference sent her nude photograph to a complete stranger, causing her mouth to drop as the response to came in.

Snapping another photo of herself— this time dressed in a tee and just of her face, the rather embarrassed witch responded.

the next file received of her face was not what elijah was expecting. however, he didn’t actually see a reply coming from her after the very forward picture of her body (which the vampire refused to admit he looked at). a smirk remained on his face as he read the texts, an eyebrow cocking up on it’s own accord.

There was something to be said about getting lost in a bottle of bourbon. After a while, even the burn was a pleasant companion. Klaus had ripped his way through one bottle, and was halfway through a second when he heard his brother’s expensive Italian leather shoes on the hardwood floor outside his study. He took another long swallow from the bottle and sighed deeply when the door finally opened. “Elijah,” Klaus held the bottle out as an offering. “Sit. Have a drink. I’m already tired of prophecies and sire lines. Let’s talk about the weather or the Saints or anything other than that bloody vision.”

The hesitation was there before he pushed open the door-do doubt his brother heard him almost immediately so there was little point to going back. striding in, without a word, elijah grasped the bottle from niklaus’ clutch, grabbing a glass beside an empty decanter (the number of these in the mikaelson household as of late was growing) and poured himself a glass-returning the bottle to the table beside the other. 

‘ i will admit that it is a miracle you’e lasted this long without killing that witch or lucien. however, whether that miracle will have a better effect on us or not remains to be seen. ‘

elijah ignored his comment, only to give him an answer to his question instead. ‘ i am only to step in when niklaus... goes too far. whatever else he does, consequences of his actions will come back to him and he will learn not to do it again. ‘

lips curled up into a smile-most of it faux, there was no attempt to hide the deception of it, and the rest of it a challenging smirk, allowing itself to be shown . trust was one thing that was not put into a vampire, she seemed to know well enough-no fear and no emotion put across. with abnormal speed, he put himself in front of her, fingers curling tightly around the metal of the gun, his smile now entirely a smirk.

the way she tenses at the sight of him causes the automatic response from him-his head cocking ever so slightly to the side with eyebrows arched. he can easily pass the reaction of as one to her comment about the young witch that temporarily-there’s no telling how long freedom will last- lifted the curse from the crescent pack. ‘ perhaps we should be more aware of what she expects in return from releasing you from the curse. davina has been hurt by all of our family-is there some belief that she can use you against us? ‘ elijah is confident that haley would never betray them-himself, rebekah and hope(not so much niklaus). however, he wont admit that he worries that magic has some hold over the other.

Elijah’s eyes narrowed at the female- he had yet to meet a werewolf that wanted to talk to him for good reasons.       ‘ Unfortunately, no, i do not have a moment nor      can i spare one for you. what you call being ‘popular’,       i call being busy. Perhaps we can have whatever      conversation you plan on having with me another time. ‘ He didn’t usually have a lot of patience for werewolves that couldn’t assist him in anyway- so he saw little in sparing time for them.

his relief wasn’t sounded aloud nor shown through any actions of facial expressions- he kept himself neutral. he considered the idea that perhaps she hadn’t noticed he was ignoring her- but the way he knew her- that idea seemed absurd. it made elijah wary about how she hadn’t mentioned it or begun a whole conversation dedicated to it. 

‘ although i do believe the alcohol will assist, i cannot imagine niklaus will be all too happy to hear about this ridiculous idea of a party. and as for the common folk- i doubt i shall be mingling with tourists that will most likely be too occupied dealing with blood loss because of marcellus’ nightwalkers. ‘

the light sound of the collision of glass was created as elijah began to pour himself a drink from a decanter neatly placed in the middle of the coffee table placed in front of the sofa them. before he brought the glass to his lips to drink the scotch, he spoke. ‘i don’t see you complaining yet. '

he brought himself back to lean against the leather sofa, nursing the glass in his hand. ‘ this is you adapting to your audience. ‘ he took in another sip from the glass, giving her look as he leaned forward to put the glass on the table. ‘ i had gotten used to it, i hadn’t started to enjoy it. ‘

Eva tried desperately to retain a cool and collected demeanor, however she knew the rapid increase of her beating half human, half vampire heart was a dead giveaway to how she truly felt in that moment. Nevertheless, she didn’t allow her anxiety to overpower her. She kept her stance straight, green eyes locked upon the male vampire before her and lips pursed tightly together.

                                     “I don’t know. –Who the hell are you?”

the vampire’s response came hastily, a glare being directed at the younger before him. elijah had little patience reserved for strangers- his already wearing thin with the rude one that had the oddest vampire feel mixed with something human; he managed to halt his face from showing disgust. why she was here- a place with so many supernatural creatures that wouldn’t look happily on a human- was beyond him.
