Meredith didn’t want to stick her nose in anyone’s affairs but she felt the need to say something.  She often straddled the line between doing what was right for the town and following her instinct.  Not everyone who was considered different (by the town’s standards) was bad.  “Look, I just wanted to warn you --- the council...there’s talk of bringing it back.  We all know how well it worked the last time around.”

            She doesn't bother waiting for an invitation to sit, it's Damon and Stefan's niece, Rebekah already knows she won't get one. But she sits down on the less, her back leaning fully against the booth's cushion. Blue eyes look over the girl, she can see the resemblance among the Salvatores, not that she would ever care to admit it, but it's there. "Stefan told me that you're a vampire hybrid" But not part werewolf like the ones her brother has driven himself insane to sire. No, this girl manages to retain her humanity by an accident apparently. Rebekah's a bit jealous of her for it, not that she would ever care to admit that either. "How do you manage it?"
