              No matter he wasn’t entirely willing to admit just how much he enjoyed the previous evening, it was something he would happily take part in again. Even with the dramatic antics, including the dramatic entrance by that oh, so loving brother of his. After managing to sleep for a few passing hours, feeling more like a vampire than he had in previous years, sleeping in the day after being awake for the evening, he walked through the compound, getting a drink before finding himself out on the balcony as he had in the early hours of the morning. 

             “Is it still intrusive if I stay on my side of the street?”

                  Elijah’s eyes got lost in the fire, mind wandering to times when things were far simpler. The arrivals of Lucien and Tristan bringing upon memories he believe to be buried deep, Aya bringing different memories that he believed to have buried just as far down. For as angry as he found himself at his brother, there was a sense of loneliness without him, without Gia, with Rebekah off living her own life, as Freya took moments to live the one she missed out for so long. Footsteps heard caused his head turn, first believing to be intruded upon by his brother, only to find his company to be that of Hayley. One he kept his distance from as she  adapted to her life away from the Mikaelson household. 

           “If you’re in search of my dear sister for babysitting duties, I’m afraid she has taken the day for herself.”
