It took him a few moments to process something that should of taken seconds. The fact that someone close to him liked him romantically, it came as a shock to him. He was used to the girls fawning over him, but never the same sex. He wasn’t opposed to it per say, but it was still very new to him, something to be explored.

Ah, this... Mibuchi was expecting this sort of response. After all, it was one thing to be confessed to by a boy if you were a girl. But... To be confessed to by a boy... When you were a boy? Enough years of being comfortable with himself had left the Yaksha with enough knowledge to expect that there would be hardships with his pride.
At the very least, it didn’t seem that he’d lost much, unlike previous encounters and experiences.

He honestly didn’t know what to think about what the other just confirmed. He thought he’d brush it off and switch subjects, but here Reo was, admitting to it. From the confession, he didn’t know what direction to take, his chest was already starting to ache from the breath he was holding. It took him a bit to just get back to him, but he hoped it wasn’t too long.

If there was any time in which Mibuchi Reo wished that he could turn back time, now was one of those days. Oh, how he hated having to come clean. Even to his own flatmate, that was a rare occasion; to his captain, though? It was impossible to lie, even through something as expressionless as texting. Akashi would find out, he would know, and at the very least the ravenet wanted his feelings to be discovered with some sort of remaining dignity.
