Quick Roleplay Tips about Low Activity
// If you want more interactions, you have to give interactions. That’s literally the only way. It is kinda obvious, but I’ve seen a lot of roleplayers who make ooc posts about wanting interactions, and then call it quits when that doesn’t do the trick.
Making an ooc post on your blog complaining you don’t have roleplays rarely works, because it’s so quiet (only your followers who are online at that exact moment will see it) and it’s really off-putting, because you’re starting from a bitter place.
So, if you’re coming off a hiatus, starting a new blog, or have just had a slow time, my quick tip list to increase your activity and interactions are:
Offer blog ratings, people love hearing about themselves, and it can lead to plotting. The idea is to get your name out there. (PS: Also send people ooc love. It’s just nice to do anyways.)
Send a shitton of ask memes to people. A good trick is to set aside a period of time (a day, an hour, whatever works) where you send an ask for every meme post on your dashboard. A lot of these can lead to short threads, and will get your blog on people’s radar.
Reblog karma is actually really good for this. If you reblog the meme after sending it, a lot of people will return the favour :)
Also send people ic asks. Make sure to check rules first (some people are mutuals only) but you can get lots of cool interactions out of this!
Like starter calls, I mean obviously. Also make your own starter calls. Some people like having permanent starter calls, so look for one / see if this works for you.
Check out plotting memes, either to reblog or send. Mostly focus on sending though~
If you feel up to it, do a ‘free scribble drawing of your muse’ meme. These can be really fun, and they don’t have to be masterpieces. Giving creates good karma, gets your name out there, and puts your muse on people’s radars. It doesn’t have to be scribble art, quick edits, drabbles, or small icon giveaways are all good.
Approach people for plotting - be prepared to offer to do the starter - and if people say no, it often means they’re busy and not that they’re uninterested. Feel free to ask again later, plus again offering to do the starter helps a lot.
Stay upbeat and welcoming. We all have down days and it can be disheartening af, but the best way to get involved is to get involved.
In short the best way to build interactions is to take the first move, engage people, and go in with lots of positivity. Give interactions, give kudos, and give effort.
Reblog if you rp nsfw.
And just as a reminder to all of my followers:
NSFW doesn’t just mean sexually explicit content; it can also mean:

and anything possibly largely triggering
Where Their Kind Belong (Closed RP)
“If I’m dead, then it would be a surprise to both of us,” Nocke responded with a light chuckle. ‘Although there have been several occurrences where I have been pretty fortunate to have made it out alive…,’ he thought to himself, while unconsciously rubbing his cheek. “I don’t mind that you don’t have money. It’s about time that I help someone out and be able to show something for it anyways,” the yordle said before resuming his lead.
It was a while before they saw any sign of the house, but it was a relief for the young yordle when it came into view at last. He hated to admit that there was a small part of him that feared to lose it as well. Nocke scanned the house for Nox, not surprised to find the cat already poised near the front door. He turned to Esen as he turned the key in the knob, and then quickly entered the second key to the lock below it.
“Can’t trust the woodland creatures, after all,” he said with a small smirk, opening the door and motioning inside. “Mind the cat on the left, he’s pretty hard to see without a light,” the yordle warned as a meow was voiced near him. Nocke waited for his guest to be fully inside before closing the door and locking it. He drew on his magic again to summon a small flame above his hand. The light was just enough to see his head, but spread little beyond that. The flame guided him to the candles that stood on the dining table near the door, which were then lit and passed one to his guest. ‘Good thing I like having one candle on each floor.’
“This house was built by humans, if you hadn’t guessed by the size. We told them what we wanted, but somehow forgot along the way and made this. I’ve gotten used to it, but it could feel cozier if it fit,” Nocke said with a sigh. He walked into the room closest to the dining table. “This is the kitchen. It’s usually full of food of whatever I feel like eating. But you can always expect some kind of dessert or treat around,” he hurriedly admitted before carefully walking into the living room. “This is the fireplace. This is what I use to keep people warm when I’m used to having guests,” the yordle nervously stuttered slightly as he used the magic flame to light the wood before it dissipated. “There are some books in the shelves that you might like if you enjoy reading… um, let me show you your room that you’ll be using.”
Nocke led him upstairs carefully making sure to stay close in case Esen needed more light. Once all three were at the top of the stairs, Nocke pointed to the room that was the first thing seen as the older yordle arrived on the second floor. “That’s your room. This one across from it is mine. The bathroom is in-between, and the attic is on top of that. Any questions?”
Esen’s gaze lifted at the sight of the conjured flame. He was surprised for a brief moment, but as he connected the dots, perhaps it wasn’t all that strange.
The fire in Nocke’s hands felt warmer already.
Taking the offered candle in his hands, he listened to Nocke as they toured the house. He remembered being impressed by the human sized dwelling, puzzling at the generosity of his host as he walked. Despite it all, Esen felt a twinge of sympathy for Nocke as he traversed the house. Save for the cat, the other yordle had the house all by himself, and a single owner was a lonely one.
Nocke’s questions snapped him out of his reverie, though Esen admittedly didn’t know where to start. He blurted out the first that came to his mind.
“Who taught you? …Magic I mean.”

Where Their Kind Belong (Closed RP)
Nocke took note of the lack of faster foot falls behind him and frowned.
‘Strange… the luck should have kept him at an even pace for the whole trip. It doesn’t run out until the next day,’ he thought to himself. A shrug and a bit more magic was expended to encourage the other to walk faster by making it even easier on him. ‘Now that should do it,’ he nodded. They walked together past the gate guards, into the woods that helped protect the city. The younger yordle wondering how he was going to take care of a guest in the winter, having adjusted to living mostly by himself. Nox would likely not have an issue with the guest; Nocke was not wanting to have to kick him out if the two would not get along. Not after how far they had already come. He estimated a quarter of a mile remaining to their destination.
“I wouldn’t worry about guest fees for now. Are you planning on staying a while in Bandle, or just happen to have come with not enough money?” Nocke asked, debating if he should just give the yordle some funds and push him off onto someone else.
“Wait a minute!” he suddenly stopped and turned, taking a second to fix the part of the scarf that fell from the left side of his face to cover it once more. “I don’t know your name yet!” the yordle exclaimed holding a hand out. “I’m uh… I’m Nocke. Sorry about not introducing myself sooner. Slipped my mind with your situation, I guess.”
“I’m planning to stay in Bandle for a while. Regain my bearings.” With the burden of the chill mostly lifted through a healthy dose of luck, he was feeling more like himself again. A few steps was all he took to catch up, his gait regaining much of it’s finesse that the cold stripped away. “Shouldn’t have waited too long. Now the roads are covered, and I’m all out of gold.”
He paused and pursed his lips soon after. Perhaps it wouldn’t be that prudent to admit that he hadn’t much money so soon. But for some reason he couldn’t explain, he felt more at ease among the other yordle. As the winds continually broke against an unseen barrier around his frame, his thoughts settled on the unusual luck that he has been having these past few minutes. He eyed Nocke and frowned slightly, but soon his features went slack and he stopped taking heed.
“Esen. It’s nice to meet you Nocke.” He offered a smile that waned slightly as he addressed the other concern.
“Do you really not mind if I don’t have much money on me? Or am I just dying or dead and I’m hallucinating you up? Impeccable timing too.” He smirked wryly before a frown reappeared as he considered his own joke.
Where Their Kind Belong (Closed RP)
“We go west. I live quite a ways out of the city, so you still have a chance to change your mind if you’d like,” Nocke informed the other as he walked a brisk pace in front.
“You know normally when people are traveling around they show up earlier in the day to find someplace to stay so they’re not stranded out in the cold…,” he commented as he looked back at his future guest. The older yordle appeared weary, even through his bundle of clothes. Nocke turned to face forward once more, closing his eyes as he reached inside himself to pass some luck to the other. He might notice that it would be much easier to make the journey now, but more than likely it would be as unnoticed as the rest of Nocke’s assistance was. He opened his eyes to glance back. “Although you might have been at it all day, to be fair.”
“Want me to carry your bag?”
“No it’s quite alright. It doesn’t feel so… bad now anyways.”
Esen adjusted the straps on his back, feeling lighter as he walked. The chill in the air has dulled for him considerably. The winds as if parting to make way for him where they once sunk into his bones.
“I’ve been going at it since the morning. I’ve… run out of money for inns anyway.”
Realising that he might have said too much, he kept his mouth shut for a significant portion of the journey. Down a street that branched into the numerous dark alleyways, past a house with a familiar stained glass window half obscured by a fresh sleet of snow. He slowed not because of the cold, he slowed because he remembered.
It’s winter again Tee.
Nocke took note of the lack of faster foot falls behind him and frowned.
‘Strange... the luck should have kept him at an even pace for the whole trip. It doesn’t run out until the next day,’ he thought to himself. A shrug and a bit more magic was expended to encourage the other to walk faster by making it even easier on him. ‘Now that should do it,’ he nodded. Where Their Kind Belong (Closed RP)
Nocke stepped inside the inn, shivering for a moment before hiding away from the desk. He chose a spot against a wall near the door, should he need to leave quickly. The contrast of the cold touching his back with the warmth around him felt nice. As he settled on his spot, a word from the presumed owner caught his attention.
“Yer practice magicks.” Nocke heard him say. The male yordle’s eyes tried to scrape what information about the guest at the front desk that he could. A shorter, bushy-looking yordle stood, likely hoping to stay out of the cold as much as Nocke was. “She never really gets along with your kind.” the yordle speaking with the guest stated. Nocke formed a fist with one hand before regaining control of himself.
He stayed quiet as he watched the guest drink from the cup of tea, or so he guessed from the smell. ‘Ya told yourself that you were gonna try to be more involved with Bandle. Ya can’t change a view of theirs if they have no other option. What’s the worst that can happen?’The yordle exhaled and covered the left side of his face up with his scarf before stepping outside to catch up with the one he had so closely watched.
“Um, hey. Do you need a place to stay tonight? My house is a bit out of the way, but the owner there isn’t prejudiced… at least not immediately against yordles,” he said with a small smile.
Esen’s ears piqued up and his steps slowed to a halt. A younger voice called after him, asking if he needed a place to stay. Turning around, a slight frown creased his features as he considered the offer.
“I’d like that.” Esen pulled the cloak closer to himself as he felt a wave of shivers creeping in his back. He tried again with a little more conviction. “I’d like that very much.”
The yordle eyed the scarfed one with a wary look, one that was laced heavily with fatigue that was eroding his sense of caution with every passing moment.
“Where to?”
“We go west. I live quite a ways out of the city, so you still have a chance to change your mind if you’d like,” Nocke informed the other as he walked a brisk pace in front.

Illusion
Put a word in my ask and I will write a headcanon about it for my muse.
//Nocke’s clock illusion (A glowing form of the face of his watch that hangs around his neck) is more of a glyph type of magic, I suppose. However, just because it’s a clock and appears to slow time, it’s not. It actually is slowing down all movement above it. He can take advantage of this by throwing his pouch of salt into it, creating a ‘salt screen’ of sorts that might deter most pursuers. This magic does take a lot of stamina out of him, and if he does spread his salt pouch in it, he’s tossed away two options of his for escape. He would not be able to cast it again for a long time (I imagine sleeping would be enough to recharge said stamina/energy/mana). @wolvenfangs

//Nocke has a strange conception of love for the moment. He’s familiar with familial love, but also knows that some don’t deserve it if they mistreat the person. He’s not certain how to apply that to a relationship with another yordle, but is not a big concern for him right now. @vi-and-cupcake

Reblog this.
If you do not care what gender your roleplay partner identify themselves as.
Be they male, female, trans, or whatever else is out there.
If you are a friend, you are a friend. If we ship our muses together, we ship the heck out of our muses. I don’t care if you are a female playing male, a male playing female or whatever is inbetween.
You are precious no matter what you are. And I love you.
