so the eboys has come to an end. what a year it’s been. watching these four idiots helped me so much through lockdown, it reintroduced me to youtube as a whole and it helped me find mcyt. i could not have asked for a better channel, even if it hasn’t been active for months. i wish the boys all the best, i look forward to their next steps together and as individuals <3

Why Unus Annus Is So Important To Me

Unus Annus came at the perfect time for me. The subject of death has always fucked with me as long as I can remember, and I had been repressing it. Summer 2019 I did my GCSEs and the ending of the main part of my school life triggered a bit of a breakdown for me, I ended up crying to my parents about how terrified I am of death. Unus Annus coming in Nov 2019 as I was recovering seemed like a sign - everything is going to be okay.

With school and work i ended up not watching the videos on time, I watched most of the videos in lockdown instead of doing my homework (oops). The last few weeks I’ve put off watching the last few videos because I didn’t want it to end. I missed the first few hours of the livestream to catch up, and the Brutally Honest video really stood out to me. I’ve always wanted to create, but never had the skills to do so well, or the confidence to try properly. Mark and Ethan talking about creating the channel and how important it is to do what you enjoy without caring about views or success makes me want to create more. I’m doing STEM a levels and probably degree too, but it’s made me reevaluate what I want to get out of life. Falling behind on the videos, even though it doesn’t seem that important to people who haven’t watched the channel, had reminded me how important it is to do my work on time so I have a chance to create - the reason I haven’t posted is because I haven’t watched any Eboys content since September.

I’m not sure I’ll watch the whole livestream because sleep, but I know tomorrow at 8 I’ll be there, probably crying, but I have a whole new perspective on life, as cheesy as it sounds. When my merch comes I’ll probably cry again. So to Mark, Ethan, Amy, Evan and everyone else involved in Unus Annus - thank you. You’ve changed my life.
