You are an idiot; for a scientist, you sure miss the obvious. And apparently he has a connection with Saint John. Brocifer wants to bring him down so he can kill him to get the ‘brother he wants’, and to do so he is torturing Saint John when his secretary isn’t softening John up for him.

So Eridan says we have to let Davesprite think John hates him so he will stay away. You don’t know what to think about all this.

You are Equius Zahhak and you are PISSED. The vague hints of the level of torture Brocifer is putting him through are enough to give you an idea and no one deserved that. Even the Angels you hate you would put down rather than subjecting them to this. And Dave…Dave was Dave; you enjoyed hanging out with him, he was fine as he was. The fact that his own brother didn’t care for this and wanted him meaner did not sit right with you. And thirdly, you had become sort of okay with Davesprite and letting his friend suffer while he thought he hated him…you just couldn’t take it.

However, they were right; if you told Davesprite about this, he’d go charging off into Brocifer’s trap. But that didn’t bar from getting Saint John out.
