At long last! I am so unbelievably happy for Charles. He deserved this win so much💔
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I CANT BELIEVE HE FINALLY SAID IT
i am honestly so angry cause for the longest time f1 was about being the best driver, of course the car and the team play a massive role, but most of the time the best driver would be at the front as well but for two years now we have had mediocre drivers at the top and it frustrates me to no end because does anyone actually believe lando fucking norris and kimi antonelli are the best drivers at the moment??!? that start tomorrow will be terribly boring or stupid and it excites no one god what has this sport become
sorry for being such a freakin debby downer but i NEED to ride this one out man... i'll probably bounce back but. wheeew. it's a lot. to me, the saddest thing is the idea of max losing the love and passion he had for the sport and for racing in f1. he loves it, truly, for the sake of itself. sure, he loves winning, to be an f1 driver you have to, but he loves so many things aside from that too: the wheel to wheel, pushing the car, pushing the limits of the track. doing things like chasing his own fastest lap time for a single point. all that love manifests in some of the most breathtaking, generational drives the sport has ever seen. losing that passion and spirit, to me, is one of the biggest possible losses to take more than just the loss of him on the grid
📷 f1 The duo that shaped an era 😮💨 A look at Max and GP’s partnership in numbers! 💯
2021
Q: What kind of guy GP is? How important is he to you?
Max: I told him that I only work with him. As soon as he stops, I stop too. You can call him out of bed 24/7 if you have a question or something. He answers 24/7. Yes, it’s incredible how we work together. Of course, sometimes we can be quite strict with each other, but that’s what I want. Because he should also be able to tell me when I’m being an idiot, and I can do the same with him. I’ve always told him that. And of course, he can even say that to me on the radio.
2026
everyone is starting their grieving process and going through it over GP going to McLaren and Max retiring this year (it’s pretty obvious atp) and Max is announcing streaming on twitch, kicking his feet and twirling his hair? this man is killing me
they took his qualifying whimsy away😭
but genuinely these regulations are just terrible. what is the point of having drivers in a sport if they spend their time managing the battery and avoiding risks because they'll lose energy on the straights. the whole risk and reward factor of qualifying is basically gone.
people who think max is complaining about the regs because he isn't winning need to watch what he said about them in 20fucking23 already. and also try to have some understanding what f1 actually is, or was, about. and if you don't care and are enjoying this year's changes, fine, whatever, you do you. but don't go assigning poor sportsmanship to someone who wants to race and apply skill instead of manage a battery efficiently
I’m a big fan of Max, and I find it hard to put my feelings about the 2026 F1 season into words — it’s changed so much with all the new rules and technology. First and foremost, I trust what Max says, so I’m not expecting too much from this season. It just doesn’t feel like the racing series I fell in love with anymore. The gap between Mercedes and the rest of the teams is like a chasm — it’s enormous. Because of this, the excitement of the competition has noticeably dropped: in essence, we already have a pretty good idea of who’s going to win this year. As a result, a driver’s talent often takes a back seat — the real deciding factor is the team’s technological edge and resources. The only rookie this season is Arvid, and he made a truly perfect debut. I had high expectations for him from the very beginning, and he completely lived up to them. His confident overtakes, composure in tough situations showed that we’re dealing with a promising driver with a bright future. Despite the overall decline in the championship’s excitement, Arvid’s performances have become my main source of joy this season.

congratulations charles & alexandra! 🤍
The FIA should be taking these three very seriously if they want the sport to grow. The longer they go in this direction the worse racing is going to get and when they start realizing that they're losing fans and viewers it'll be too late to do anything.
Even Charles is saying he doesn't like the cars and Oscar is concerned about safety after whatever that practice start was yesterday and I think he's right to be concerned, Melbourne race start is going to be chaos if they don't figure it out soon.
