The Fine Art of Stalking
riccithegreat:
This was the deepest Luca had ever allowed Nola into his thoughts and fears. âDonât say thatâŚâ Shaking his head, eyes burning, âDonât ever say that again.â He wanted to say more, push his point, demand that she promise him that she wouldnât do anything dangerous if something ever happened to him. They were fine, for now. It was the first time heâd ever had doubts about his plan. What it could mean for himself or for Nola. He wasnât the happily ever type. There was too much blood on his hand. Too many betrayals heâd committed but none against her or Noah. People like him didnât get happiness and yet heâd found that in the moments he spent with her. âLetâs go home.â There was nothing left for him to say. He leaned in brushing a kiss to her cheek. âWeâll kick Noah out tonight.â
Nola shook her head. "I won't say it if you don't say it either, fair is fair." She spoke softly, remaining calm. She'd already given these things too much consideration, and it was much harder to discuss them with him than think by herself. She could dismiss them easily, but seeing his face did not make it easier. She knew he was holding back is tongue and that was all she could hope for at that moment, it wasn't like him to be quiet. She nodded her head once more. "Okay." She knew it was hard for him to be emotional at all, and she didn't want to be either. it was easier to hide feelings than being hurt. "I don't think he's going to like that much." She chuckled, smiling at him.
