Elaine desperately tries to hide the unearthly feathers that riddle her skin, all for the sake of love. But her curse leaves her rejected and trapped behind a wall deep within the forbidden forest. With no way home, her only option is to rely on a Prince determined to reclaim his throne, and his missing eyes.

Rating: 9/10

I really love The Blind Prince; I think the plot is just so fun and engaging, lots of twists and turns; I love the main cast, the leads have such a sweet bond even before it becomes romantic and I think the themes of trust and self-acceptance are done really well. The art is gorgeous and the magical world is fascinating— there’s a lot to ponder.

The only points it missed were 11) cookie cutter syndrome and 20) made me feel a lot. All the cast is that variation-less stylized skinny body type. Forgivable, but not ideal. And 20 will probably come along pretty soon, based on the way events have been escalating. All in all, definitely worth checking out.

So I read all the available pages of The Blind Prince on Webtoon in like 2 days and then had to draw these two! They’re too cute! The comic art is also just so gorgeous, every image is lovely, and the limited palette gives such a vibe.

I figured I wanted to draw using my usual colouring style (warm toned, SO much orange) but I I also edited some versions with the purple tones of the comic

Some thought process under the cut!

I've always wanted to depict chronic pain or waves of pain with red circle-ish pattern, well There's finally a piece where I can use it! Super happy! It's the big chunks of circle shapes centered on him, and they're supposed to represent radiation & radiation pain!

Also I have no idea how to represent the "human turning into ghost" theme outside of his body, I used red blood transitioning to green blood in the end and it just looks like his human blood was blasted out of him lol, I hope I get it across
