hi guys, I usually don't talk about shit like this but over the last 2/3 weeks I've had several anon asks/comments basically tearing my work apart! whilst I am not largely bothered by this, fic writers aren't obligated to write to your whims, just like you aren't obligated to read a fic you don't like - DLDR exists for a reason. additionally, authorship is by no means an indicator of correctness or morality - fiction is in no way endorsement of 'bad' behaviors. whilst this does also feed into bigger issues on censorship and freedom of expression - let's just all strive to keep platforms, like ao3, as archives of works. no one is obligated to operate to your ideology and vice versa!

All of Lando’s preemptive anxiety is grabbing him along, white knuckles around his wrist. It’s insisting that this is not how it should be, that this is how he loses once and for all. But this is it. This is how it is. The team is swarming the garage and there is championship T-shirts and hats, custom printed for him, and they are all none the wiser to the almost identical boxes, hidden just meters away from them. There is something missing, someone. But no one cares when you come third in a two horse race. This is distinctly an ending. There is an end here for every single person: mechanic, fan, driver, photographer, track marshal, whatever. This will a be a memory from very long ago. Lando is stretching the muscle. It does more than hurt.
