Pacing along the hallways of the cave, Conner felt immensely guilty. It wasn't exactly his fault, after all, though the kiss wasn't exactly unpleasant.

He hated being on bad terms with people. It was always a bad feeling for him. Despite everything, he wanted to be on every one's good side. (Except for the bad guys.)

He looked at Wolf, who he had found napping in a corner lazily. Wolf cast him a glance that almost looked accusing. "Oh, be quiet," Conner huffed, even though the animal didn't- and couldn't- say anything.

Maybe an apology was in order, even though Conner was definitely not one for apologizing. But the kiss was uncalled for, and she probably resented him for it. He found his way to her room, peeking his head in.

"Um, Zee?" He started, clearing his throat. "Sorry. I mean... Yeah. Sorry."

Saying "sorry," didn't make him feel any better, though.
