Rowan Michaels is twenty-six and hails from Belleville, New Jersey. He is joining the Witness Protection Program because he helped take down a prominent drug cartel after his brother was murdered.  Rowan looks like Nico Tortorella.

Rowan Michaels was born into the type of family that everyone knows for all the wrong reasons. The family where kids knew they could go over to their house and his parents would let them drink and do drugs whenever they wanted because they were too drunk or high to pay attention to their own kids. When he was 10, his mother ended up leaving them, running off with some rich guy that promised her the world because he wanted something new and exciting in his life. So she left her three children and husband behind with nothing. His father wasn’t doing anything to take care of his three kids, so naturally his older brother took on the more parenting role. He got involved with the wrong crowds to help make sure Rowan and their sister were fed and had clothes on their back and a place to live, and later on Rowan ended up getting just as involved with the same gang that his brother ended up working for. The two were inseparable, always at each others sides and watching each others backs. They took care of their little family and did the best with what they had. But, well, things got a little too deep for the boys. The gang they were in ended up making deals with a drug cartel and they didn’t have much say in the matter or they knew how it would end up so they just went with it. Three years later Rowan’s brother ended up with a nasty heroin addiction and got in trouble with some of the higher ups in the cartel (and Ro wasn’t completely innocent, he had a mild cocaine addiction but he told everyone he had it under control). In a deal gone wrong, Rowan’s brother was killed right in front of his eyes. They barely had enough time to say their goodbyes while his brother was choking on his own blood in his arms. It was then that Rowan decided that he was done being a bitch boy for the cartel. He had planned on taking things into his own hands (and probably would have wound up killed in the process), but he ended up getting approached by an FBI agent who spoke to him about a RICO case. Rowan thought long and hard about working with the feds, but decided that for his sisters safety it was the best option. The feds promised them both witness protection and the plan set forth to bust the cartel. The plan went without a hitch, and the feds stayed true to their word to protect them and sent them off to witsec, though, Rowan isn’t sure he’s thrilled about the idea of being a bird in a cage…
