My city used to have some amazing bus stops, they commissioned artists to construct them out and they were either metal sculptures or painted.

Then republicans decided to embrace malicious architecture and either tore them all down to remove places where the unhoused might camp out or intentionally made them worse.

They've also intentionally made the seating worse in our sole light rail system to prevent people from falling asleep there, then feigned surprise when housed people also stopped using it.
