Non-Toxic DA Confessions

We want to focus on the good and fun side of the fandom. We also reblog positive fandom posts, so link us to anything that you think would fit here! Please submit in the submissions section although we do take asks. Confessions are all anonymous and made with our own screencaps. If your submissions centers your Warden, Hawke or Inquisitor don't hesitate to include a picture, we'd love to get to know them! Feel free to send in as many as you would like.

Confession: I can’t be the only who feels like that even though there were quite a few dragons in DA:I, I wanted more. Where we didn’t have to kill them and maybe even possibly actually interact with them. My head canon is that dragons have magic but they don’t need it or can’t use it. Anyway I just want more dragons.

Confession: I like to imagine that Carver fights with two-handed weapons like Geralt of Rivia. Very fast and graceful despite his size.

Confession: I wish “Templar Hunter” was an available rogue class. They appear as enemies in DA2 with rogue abilities (stealth, backstab), but I presume they’d also have some counter-magic abilities, which would be so useful for my squishy rogues.

Confession: I find Calpernia very sympathetic. She has a sad backstory and some noble goals, but of course, her methods are very sketchy. I wonder what Fenris would think of her buying slaves to free them. I hope she returns in a future game, since she never dies onscreen.

Confession: I keep accidentally calling Vaseline "vallaslin" and my friend is the other way around.

Confession: I like to imagine that all of the possible inquisitors (that don’t get the mark) get involved with DAI. Like Cadash working with the inquisition to get a lot of lyrium if inquisitor sided with the Templars. Adaar working for the inquisition (in a way) through the Valo-Kas. Lavellan coming in contact with the inquisitor and they decide to give Lavellan the knowledge in the temple due to their elven ancestry (bonus points if Lavellan has the vallaslin of Mythal).

Confession: Sometimes I see a post on this blog, and I just wish people would let everyone enjoy things. Aren’t you tired of being angry about fandom? Isn’t this supposed to be fun?

Confession: I like the idea DA presents that effectively the medieval Catholic Church and society could have gone a very different way with a female central-aside-from-God figure

Confession: Do I listen to amazing, energetic songs and imagine the DA gang absolutely kicking ass for the entirity of the song? Do I get caught with a weird look on my face or moving strangely because I got caught up in my daydream of an epic battle? Do I wait a few minutes for people to leave before replaying songs and do it all over again? Yes, yes I do. Thanks for the fun, Dragon Age!

Confession: With the recent Game Awards trailer, I have hope that Rogue will finally be the most plot-friendly/"meta" class in DA4.

Confession: I call my inquisitor the torch bearer because I somehow bugged the game to get an infinite veilfire torch that could be taken anywhere in the storm coast. I could even fast travel and it wouldn't go away.

Confession: I know that it would probably be impossible in canon, but I love to think that as soon as my Inquisitor found out that Leliana and my Warden are together, he totally smuggled him to Skyhold to surprise her.

Confession: I like the idea of some shems thinking that some crippled elf would be easy to bother, until their blade is at one’s throat while a spectral arm grows from their stump to slam the second against the wall. Meet Inquisitor Lavellan, reaver and the baddest bitch you’ll ever see.

Confession: I think if Cullen and Dorian got together they’d basically be the fantasy version of David and Patrick from Schitts Creek

Confession: I love crafting special armor and weapons for my Inquisition companions. I’ll put a message in the title and little <3 hearts.

Songday Sunday: It’s All Right, Don’t Think Twice by Bob Dylan for Solavellan Break-Up, Solas perspective, after he leaves Skyhold. I think of it as him trying to convince himself that it’s for the best and he shouldn’t have become so invested.
