thank you beanie, I'll be needing those for a while. what a gut punch then switched to disappointment and anger like an hour later. i looked up to both of them and they wronged so many. my love goes out to those affected by their manipulation.

similarly sending my love to everyone in the community who is feeling wronged and hurt by this situation. it fucking sucks.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do about the barista! universe. I don't want to let go of them because of avid. I want to continue and I want to keep creating but it's going to take a while until this doesn't hurt and I feel ready to continue. I also fear getting harassed for still posting about them, but that's something else entirely.

Hello there beanie~! I'm really sorry to say that for now I'm putting Monster Within on a hiatus for now at least. With everything going on... it's rough and I don't feel comfy working on it. Especially because with finding out all of this...it uh...made me have some very uncomfortable realizations that I don't really want to get into TvT (Lets just say upon looking back at something that happened to me a few months ago...I realized something and it made me feel like puking. TvT) In some positive news though, I'm actually cooking up something BannerFall related in the meantime cause I recalled there was a bannerfall OC I had that I'd started to work on but never finished, so I figured... perhaps this is the right time to come back to them~! Some fun little details about them that I'd like to offer in hopes of maybe giving you a smile if nothing else... They are Non-Binary and go by they/them pronouns. They're going to be a Rogue who was conscripted to blue kingdom as it was either that or be thrown in jail. They picked being conscripted for war as they hate being confined more than anything. I have a lot of research on other perspectives for Bannerfall ahead of me, but I'm excited for this new project of mine and want to keep my head held high. I'm hoping for the best for you beanie, and will remain your friend no matter what you decide. :3

Genuinely almost jumped for joy when I heard that Pearl is gonna be an antagonist in Pantheon SMP

and on a very small note, since this is not what the main point of this situation is about

please everyone, check how your perception of gay men and how "dangerous" they are for other individuals might be affected by the way homophobia is baked into our day to day life and society

there was a very clear thread of one of the narratives avid was trying to pin on the one very openly gay man that was his friend at one point earlier this year. there was a clear narrative he was trying to portray

and when some people tried to point out how many of the things he was saying reflected homophobic talking points and narratives, they were shut down claiming people only cared because "they care more about mlm shipping than misogyny"

people conflated mlm/yaoi shippers with those actually concerned about the fact that there was a dangerous and not unique or new in any way agenda being spread around a gay man, and it was genuinely maddening seeing people turn their eye away from it or just not recognize it

As of June 7 2026 Avidmc and Marma1ade have quit content creation. Also as of June 7 2026, creators from the Minecraft server Skyblock Kingdoms (sbk) have come forward about “irrevocable damage [Avidmc and Marma1ade] have caused to SBK and its friends” (quote from Sbk statement on twitter) and have removed them from the server.

Below is a time line of statements, with links to the original, for ease of access. However I want to make clear that every one of these statements does not ask for aggression or violence against anyone, infact many implore the reader not to send any hate or aggression. Instead these statements ask for caution. ⚠️ do not attack anyone for who they support. Do not send hate to anyone involved. Doing so will get you banned across platforms, and make you a shitty person. ⚠️

This is purely for information collection and gathering. Make judgments based on your values and verifiable fact.

Hi, I hope you don’t mind another perspective on this, even if it’s similar to Verdant’s. I’m an SBI fan who lived through the Wilbur fanwork apocalypse.

If you need the permission to do so: take the character you love as yours, and toss the cc out the window. Love what they made and run away with it. This is what fandom is, what fandom does, and how fandom continues. The most unique and amazing thing about mcyt fandoms is our ability to hold onto characters separately from their creators, to turn them into aus of themselves and create something wholly new. And you’ve made an incredible au that can stand on its own. Just like the canon character exists outside of the creator’s influence once the video is published, so too are the rau!characters yours.

When William Gold was revealed to be a piece of shit, so much fanwork was deleted or discontinued. There were also people who chose to add disclaimers at the top of all their fics saying they don’t support the cc anymore, and are only writing about the character they love. And still others who wrapped up their fics with one final chapter where he died to a thousand hammers falling on his head. And the fandom still lives on, if much smaller. We’ve taken “death of the author” and run with it to places where the only connection left that the character has to the creator is a name, if that. Because we loved the stories and the characters, and hate the cc for what he did.

I don’t begrudge you or anyone else who chooses to stop because of what happened with the cc. It’s awful and sad and honestly I’m still processing, too. But you also don’t have to support a creator to continue loving what they made, or what you made from what they made. The stories and memories will always be yours, if you want to keep them.

Big virtual hugs for you, and everyone who reads this who’s going through it rn, this whole situation sucks. I hope the pain goes down and you can get some rest <3
